She is killing it as the mother on MMM, I am loving her character, her delivery, every last nuance and visual detail paid to Mrs. Maizel.

I genuinally like Midge's parents; even though they can be overbearing, you can understand that they're loving. Miss Hinkle is fabulous!

I think that is the point; I remember when Susie talked to Midge about her family life where it boils down to estranged siblings and parents who checked out in more ways than one and it contrasted with the overbearing, but so alive and close Weissman family.

Her acting on episodes 7 and 8 is pure brilliance. Fantastic actress. I remember her from Once and Again, she was amazing on that show too.

I love the show . I think this actress is absolutely incredible and talented. I love watching her and Tony Shalhoub chemistry onscreen is amazing. I’m looking forward to Season 3. I’m in agreement with some of the comments made thus far about the Interviewer. He does primarily all the talking but I think he’s just enthusiastic about the show and he’s showing admiration.

I absolutely adore her. Her performance as Rose is incredible. What she does w the character is just so unexpected, quirky, creative, and fantastic. Rose is so underrated as a character. Wish there was a way for both her AND alex borstein to win the Supporting Actress Emmy. 👏❤️☺️

ABOLUTELY RIGHT!! I wish this guy would just shut up and ask her probing questions. Instead, HE's the one telling us about her parents, not HER!! Aaaargh!!!

It's funny that as she describes the role as exuding confidence and certitude, she does so using uptalk, the quintessential doubting intonation. :)
@donaldcordner19362 жыл бұрын
Good grief! LET the LADY TALK!!! I mean, for crying out loud, whose interview IS this ANYWAY!!! We want to hear MARIN talk, NOT YOU!!! Ask her SHORT questions that let HER tell us about her parents and her upbringing! A simple "Tell us more about your mother and your father.", is all you need. YOU shouldn't be telling us much of ANYTHING!!!! AAAARGH!!!!!!

This is a completely different role from when she played Judith Harper, Alan's vindictive ex-wife, on Two and a Half Men, and she is good in both roles...

I can't lie, I kind of hated both of Midge's parents. They were both so dour and unappealing. The only moments I really liked Rose were when she went to visit the fortune teller, which allowed for some humor. The rest of the time she was too preoccupied with appearances and being superficial.
@jessicavictoriacarrillo72546 жыл бұрын
I think it was implied that Midge's parents were different people when they first married. That Rose was more carefree and free-spirited and once shared a whole cake with Abe; Abe then laments he too has changed. I wonder if they will address that in the next season.

I think what you’re talking about has more to do about the times and how people behaved then more than anything else
