Dude. Marina gets it. “I am not my body, not my mind or my brain. I am not my thoughts or feelings, I am not my DNA.” She recognizes that *everything* we perceive, in its totality, is pure consciousness. We are witnesses to life. We are not our ego, we are not our body, we are pure consciousness observing a life in this specific reality.

@@dr.shuppet5452 I think they were using pure consciousness as a way to state that if you take away everything else, ego, body, environment even, then you are only conciousness. So they were just saying that if Marina sings that "I am not my body, not my mind or my brain." She's implying that deeper than these things exists 'pure' conciousness. If that makes sense. I think this comment is just made to entertain the thought that we should not fixate too much on things we can't control body, dna etc. But to continue witnessing life with our conciousness.

@lopezbill6132 Жыл бұрын
@just-like-magick yes there Is nothing wrong with interpretating a song in different ways. My only point is the creator of that song didn't make it for shifting regardless of what your impression is about the song. This song is about spirituality and realizing your true nature which is why she says don't conform to this world and she she tells you her true nature it isn't the brain or her body or thoughts but the observer. She is pretty much saying she knows her deepest self the self that lives on when the body dies. She knows her essence

(02:27) From the Heart of Malaysia, to the dark Himalayas¬ I'm from KL, Malaysia and Marina's lyrics are spot on. South East Asia was mainly colony territories of farmlands just a generation ago. in a short few decades ancient dreams have been built over by modern land. You can think of Bali or Singapore too. Asia shifted from 'thinking of 'Ancient' as inheritance, to 'Ancient' as in outdated against the 'Modern'. How is Marina this culturally insightful and accurate? Amazing.

@PoisonelleMisty43119 ай бұрын
Yes, INTJ personalities often look for ways to express their deep thoughts and insights, and music can be a powerful outlet for this. Taylor Swift, being an INTJ herself, has a talent for translating her inner thoughts and feelings into catchy and relatable songs that resonate with a wide audience. Her ability to share her introspective and intuitive perspective through her music is a testament to the power of introverted intuition in artistic expression.

Marinas getting into some deep philosophical shit here. This song seems like it's talking about enlightenment. She's taking a look inside herself and understands that the ego does not exist and that all you can identify with is the observer. I'm not my body or my mind or my brain and I'm not my feelings or my thoughts or DNA. Marina seems to understand material body is disconnected from her sense of identity and being. Where are you located within your body, it's hard to locate yourself because....you don't really exist. You're just a cluster of cells that created an identity within itself. The "I" of the "storm", possibly referring to her final conclusion that perhaps she is the all encompassing witness to existence. That is, the universe experiencing itself.

I think this song is about the impending climate crisis. The ancient dream is to have a good life, but now that we have the tech we ruined the earth, and ruin ultimately the goal of our ancestors. “We’re not living in a seminal age, the walls are being broken and we’re ready for change” it’s rooting for us and hopeful we can change things before it’s too late. I think the idea of her saying she is not her body, mind or brain means she is not singing this song or sharing this message as something for herself but as a public service announcement. I think this is a protest song protesting continuing practices that harm the environment.

This song is so espiritual, the fact that she doesn’t identify herself with her body, brain or feelings has so much to do with the budism philosophy.
