this is so insane... this song literally describes the heart of my existence. i've never identified with this time, although i'm thankful for all the possibilities it offers, i feel like i was meant to be born much earlier. humanity is forgetting what their existence is supposed to be about. also lately i've been thinking a lot about the fact that the only thing about myself that really feels like me is my passive conciousness, just observing. somehow i feel like i was not meant to have a life... it just feels like a (sometimes really annoying) side effect of my existence. this probably sounds really weird to most people, but it's just how i feel. The chorus perfectly describes how I feel when I dissociate, like it's uncannily similar. I feel like I'm just hitching a ride on someone else and the longer I watch them try to function, the more frustrated I get for them that everything's going wrong and we can't fix it. She's taking a look inside herself and understands that the ego does not exist and that all you can identify with is the observer. I'm not my body or my mind or my brain and I'm not my feelings or my thoughts or DNA. Marina seems to understand material body is disconnected from her sense of identity and being. Where are you located within your body, it's hard to locate yourself because....you don't really exist. You're just a cluster of cells that created an identity within itself. The "I" of the "storm", possibly referring to her final conclusion that perhaps she is the all encompassing witness to existence. That is, the universe experiencing itself.

I think this song is about the impending climate crisis. The ancient dream is to have a good life, but now that we have the tech we ruined the earth, and ruin ultimately the goal of our ancestors. “We’re not living in a seminal age, the walls are being broken and we’re ready for change” it’s rooting for us and hopeful we can change things before it’s too late. I think the idea of her saying she is not her body, mind or brain means she is not singing this song or sharing this message as something for herself but as a public service announcement. I think this is a protest song protesting continuing practices that harm the environment.

my first time listening, very impressed. I find it funny that there's English subtitles for an English song .... sung perfectly, with perfect diction throughout; yet someone in her camp decides that English subtitles were needed to promote in such a way. Marina is a pleasure to discover for sure, she has such an obviously blessed talent for singing. I'm tagging her now because I have to hear more. There's definitley parts where the phrasing makes me recall Britney's "Womanizer" but this song far exceeds that ..... I love it and will be listening more I know.
