To all the fans abroad: This mixtape is a response to all the haters in the Greek media, from journalists to singers and songwriters, who bullied Marina throughout the Eurovision period. Greeks everywhere are supporting Marina and love her diss towards the media. Almost all Greek media journalists criticized the song, calling it a disgrace for showcasing Greece in this light and predicting it would fail. Marina responded through her song: "You said this song would flop; now the whole country dances to it." They also accused her of not including any Greek sounds, claiming the song was purely reggaeton. Marina humorously replied in a story: "Did you have reggaeton in your village?" The media then accused her of being offensive. She clarified through her stories that it was humorous and explained that the beat is international and noted that in Greece, it translates to syrtos. She mentioned being inspired by the Greek song "Glyka-Efi Thodi." The original singer also harshly criticized Marina's song. Marina then demonstrated through this song how she evolved the beat from "Glyka" into a pop style to prove them wrong. A songwriter-manager accused Marina of stealing the "tatata" from her Greek song, despite it being totally different. This claim was widely mocked since "tatata" is a common element in many songs and not a unique lyric. Marina posted through her stories a picture of her old music books where she used "tatata" to learn symphonies, explaining it was a basic way to read them. She then cheekily replied through her song with "copyright to tatatatapa," where "tapa" means "suck it," mocking the absurdity of the accusation. (The last one is my personal interpretation, is not crystal clear, I guess she'll speak on it in the future). The Greek media pressured her into claiming her yawning was accidental and that she didn't show any disapproval about the Israel participation. She said through her song in a way that she was forced by them to lie, but now she's speaking the truth, and now that is over she's going on holiday, and she doesn't give a F anymore. We love her and despise the Greek media. She's a QUEEN.

Also, to add (form my point of view) that in general the media criticised that ZARI was not a song with harmony in music due to the mixing of traditional and urban sounds and Marina gave them the ultimate Mix (MIXTAPE). She is a genius!! ❤

All media in Greece told for Zari that was just a mix of sounds without continuance and Marina gifted them with The MEGA mix of different genres of greek music and ofcourse trap which is the most criticised genre from greem media with the lyrics being answers to all haters. "I asked them if they knew reggeaton where they're from": in her livestream she was explaining that the rhythm in "Zari" was supposed to be the Greek dance syrtos but it is the same rhythm as reggeaton. After she made that clear, she said "did y'all have reggeaton where you come from" (which is a common greek expression) in a very sweet and playful manner ("big deal what i said, is it?"). However, the trash tv gossip shows and sites turned that against her ("exaggerated Marina Satti" they wrote next to her phrase, totally changing the way she said that), saying that it was offensive and stuff "They heard the demo and everyone said flop": the majority of Greek people did not like "Zari". At all. They thought it was not representative of Greece and considered it a disgrace, however most of them like it now and some enjoy it a lot ("the whole country is dancing now") "It's europe, but balkan ways": this is what Greece is but most greeks can't seem to realise that we are more balkan in our culture than europe (and we should be proud about it) "Copyright of ta ta ta": there's a delusional greek "lyricist" who was going to sue Marina for the ta ta ta in "Zari" because she had written lyrics to a song that said Dynata ta ta ta and thought Marina stole that. "I lied to you": when the israeli singer in eurovision was speaking at the press conference, many artists, among them Marina too, showed their confrontation towards her (no, she's not innocent). Marina pretended to yawn and sleep, but the thing is, the other participants' countries where supportive to their artists. Greece was not and ERT (the greek national channel) made her apologise for what she did and claim it as just playing around. Marina did that because she couldn't do else but now she lets us know that she lied. Icon 🎀

Well, my friend @Lavadom , I'll try to explain the lyrics of the song to you, especially the parts where Marina "answers back" to the haters of the song (these doubters are actually morning show journalists from Greek TV). The time points below are from the song “Mixtape” and not from your video. So here we go : At 1:04 imitates the voices of the haters who hoped that her song would be a failure, but seeing the success of the song on the charts, she silences the haters. The 1:25 point refers to a quote that Marina said in a live broadcast she did on Instagram, so basically Marina said that the beat from the song Zari has the tempo like a reggaeton song, and jokingly said that her viewers had and such sounds in their village (i can’t translate it properly but she just joke that her viewers are “bumpkins”). And then at 1:33 Marina thinks it's dumb that her viewers were offended by what she said and wonders why people don't understand her humor. At 3:48 she pokes fun at herself and says that even though she has traveled the world and has acquired a huge musical education, the public doesn't like her musical style, but that doesn't affect her because she is self-aware of her music’s composition. At 4:10 (my favorite track) she says "I Marina sas pige tapa", "Pao Tapa" means I'm pushing myself to the to the maximum and that I have exceeded (slightly to a lot) my limits, but in this case Marina uses this phrase metaphorically as a “f@ck you”to all the journalists that were mean to her song Zari . At 4:24 Marina hints at two things, starting with the verse "Copyright sto Ta Ta Ta Ta" she mocks a female music producer who said in a Greek morning show that Marina stole the "Ta Ta Ta" part from one of her own song (as if “Ta Ta Ta” needs special inspiration to write it into a song). While later at 4:30 she puts whithin her song another song called "Glyka Glyka" by Efi Thodi on purpose, to make fun of Efi Thodi, a Greek folk singer who insulted Satti and her song on a show, saying that Zari is bullshit and that even Marina’s mother doesn't know any of her daughters songs. At 6:10 and 10:15 Marina essentially says that she is getting rid of the bad energy of critical people, she doesn't regret anything and that it's time for her to go on vacation to get away for some time. Anyways I hope I helped you in a way , but I have to admit , for fluent Greek speakers the song is so funny that even my description above can’t explain how humorous Marina is 😂

Everyone said that she used reggaeton in zari, so before eurovision, she made a story that the rhythm is syrto and not reggaeton and commented that you had in your village reggaeton; it is greek phrase. So in all tv shows ate her. In her song she says 2:52 that you had in your village reggaeton Also many other references but it is very difficult to explain it in english😮

For people who don't know Greek just to know she is giving a hard time to all her haters and the news who were saying bad things about her , some things she said: "I asked them if they had Regaetton in their village.... was that even bad? Did I say anything bad?" "Marina shuted them all" "I am going on vacation now i dont give a f*ck , for everything they say i just thank Jesus" (Most of Greeks love this song , she is mostly roasting the news🇬🇷)
