@@ezhilification the size of an engine refers to the total volume of air and fuel being pushed through the engine by the cylinders. So it's measured the air and fuel ratio according to the engine volume it's called as cc value ( cubic centimetre) . And its calculated formula will be [ 0.785 *( bore diameter)^2 * stroke length * no.of cylinder ]

hello, we have a problem with the fuel system, I am trying to find a solution. When we open steam to the fuel heater, the fuel pressure rises, I disassembled the heater, I tested it, there is no leakage Anyone help me a idea

Who builds ships engines and where are they manufactured, how much ddiesel does the engine use
@marineinsight
@marineinsight 4 жыл бұрын
Different heavy industry companies such as MAN diesel turbo, Wartsila, Hyundai etc. builds these engine. Depending upon the size of the engine, the consumption can vary from 50 to 500MT / day.

@@marineinsight I am grateful for that information , different size ships will have different size engines. Is there a way of finding out the fuel consumption of different size ships from coasters up to 200,000 day bulk carriers
@abhishekhsingh4786
@abhishekhsingh4786 4 жыл бұрын
@@michaelsrowland see first of all the fuel consumption is depend on many thing : on the engine, the type of fuel , the output power is transmitted to the wheel to propel the ship . We can measured the fuel consumption by various method 1) flow meter 2) (specific fuel consumption x HP)/Fuel Specific Weight 3) install fuel flow meter If we want to reduce the fuel consumption in main engine on ship : Perform routine engine maintenance. Check your propeller (prop). Maintain the bottom of vessel •decreas the weight on board •instal a flow meter

@@marineinsight It's all about how the intake and exhaust work without using the 4 stroke cycle. The compressed air forces out the exhaust while simultaneously filling the combustion chamber with a fresh air charge. They work in an entirely different way to a 4 stroke, they don't provide cylinder boost as the exhaust valve is open when the pressure in the intake is opened to the cylinder. Without a blower there's no way for the induction and exhaust, on a two stroke petrol the crank case and transfer ports provide for gas flow.
