Its the plan and it wasnt independent. Pekora invited Gen 3 to play MH. This was confirmed by all 3. Pekora was wondering who to invite, was thinking if luna is fine buying the game again. But in the end she decided on 3rd gen because theyre the only ones she's comfortable with to hop in from time time even when she's not streaming.

Pekora hiting Noel with her, Pekora's, sword after she, Noel, became paralyzed actually helps to end it, the paralysis, faster IIRC. Though it was also probably also Pekora that also caused Noel to be paralyzed in the first place. Though Noel could've been unlucky as well with a small monster or yellow frog(IIRC). It's probably related to the fact that Capcom has been promoting World again ever since the announcement of Wilds, so it's been going around all of the streamer circles recently. I'm pretty sure they've had permissions for a while since Luna played it a bit a while back, but Pekora was probably the one that convinced everyone else who started in the past two weeks to start playing.
