This and also theres definitely some shame in Garp given Dragons position in the world. If Luffy knew that his father was in complete opposition of the Marines, it would've made it even harder for Luffy to choose the Marine life. Regardless of Shanks' honest feelings and way of life that Luffy inherited. I'm of the opinion that Dragon saw, much like Sabo, what the leaders of the world and high society were really like. So he rallied against anything related to the W.G., leading to him becoming the revolutionary leader. The fact he had such a dark and knowledgeable opinion of the Goa Kingdom when he saved Sabo and how reluctant Garp was to explain anything to Luffy leads me to believe this

But he lucked out with the first 4 he encountered: he evaded smoker multiple times due to luck, he used water and later his own blood against crocodile, his devil fruit was enel’s natural enemy, and aoukiji let him escape.

The only place I'm finding that shirt is a site called Printerval. Whoooo boy, Toriko. What a weird life that series had. It was one of the biggest shonens for a while before pretty much vanishing into the ether. I suppose it makes sense considering the time skip got really weird and the anime changed the ending so it wouldn't have to do the time skip stuff. But good lord was the anime good. It added so many new things that didn't suck and I really enjoyed the after episode cooking tips.

Any plans to do a watch of the One Piece movie, Strong World? It was the first movie directly written by Oda, himself, and it's what all the talk about "Gold Lion Shiki" in the last arc was building up to, so it's pretty much considered a canon story by a ton of fans.
