it could be a cool small buff like Ootd will bet Bishops instead of Prelates or something that cost a bit more but are slightly faster with more HP and better healing because keeping Ootd units alive is the most important thing

Every time I fight OFTD as Japanese, I spam out these horse archers. Enemy needs to feudal rush and abuse the fact that they have stronger everything early game

All samurai are affected by aoe through their deflective armour. The primary targets loses its defelctive armour, but nearby units will keep it while still taking aoe damage. I discovered this in a Japanese mirror while blasting samurai with a pack of Ozutsu.

IMO OotD should go dark age deer and stay on 1TC. Early deer with survival techniques give OotD the much needed eco boost, plus it delays the farm transition. They could go mass archers in feudal and slowly get to castle. In castle age they could used inspired warrior with archer to defend and try to get Swabia. Inspired warrior is much easier to use defensively since you only need to place the prelates where you'd put outposts.

On the last fight, the Dragon had far more superior army pop count than the Japanese, with considering it's 'elite' forces, there should be no doubt that it will annihilate Japanese with ease.... but rather, it got destroyed. What the... 😂😂 The 'elite' army, huh? 😅

No horsemen or springalds against double mangonels for a mostly archer army and the enemy frontline is made of heavy armored samurai while puppypaw has man at arms tanking against the japanese crossbow equivalent. Puppypaw’s army was countered in every way.

OotD needs a landmark overhaul soon, they don't make sense this way. Aachen does nothing; Meinwerk is mediocre at best and so is burgrave; every civ beats them in the relic race, so regnitz is basically useless. the only landmark that still makes sense for this civ is the printer of swabia. I'm really happy with the sultans ascend, but the OotD disappoints, doesn't seem thought through... with that name..

Order of dragon is cheeks. Units count as two but the game has no snag feature. So they just get overshot by ranged units or siege. It's so stupid. Sure their unit is apparently worth two.. but that equation doesn't work because it means they have less units to soak damage and more units focus on them. If yih want to do this style of civ.. each unit needs to be better then 2 of the other unit slightly. A simple 2 to 1 doesn't work.

A 120 supply Order Army gets smashed by the 60 supply Japanese one. The Man at Arms from the Order feel really weak. They have more hp but thats not enough, the counter hit too hard. There damage and speed feels meh. I think its ok that there eco is not that good, it makes them a bit unique but some of there units and or landmarks just dont cut it.

They should make an order of the dragon civ variant where all the landmarks are the same but the units are super gilded units that have more hp and do more damage but cost 3 pop…some lazy dev at relic probably
