Mariner Of The Seas 2020 - Part 4: Chill Island, Snorkeling, Oasis Lagoon, Cap'n Jack's - ParoDeeJay

We continue our day in Perfect Day at CocoCay with some beach time at Chill Island, snorkeling for award-winning fish footage, discovering the largest fish at Coco Cay, party time at the Oasis Lagoon pool, relaxing at Captain Jack's bar, and then it's time to head back to the ship for an evening of shenanigans... huzzah!!
Phase two of MegaVacay2020 is back-to-back cruises aboard Royal Caribbean's Mariner Of The Seas! We sailed from February 3-10, 2020 with stops in Coco Cay and Nassau on both legs. We've completed a week at DisneyWorld, so it's time for some relaxation. What's next on the mega vacay agenda after this sailing? Four MORE weeks of cruising on four different cruise lines!

We loooooved Coco Cay! Actually, it ended up being our favorite private island, assuming you're not put off by the looming waterslides and slight sounds of screaming, even when relaxing over at Chill Island, ha ha... but the food was fantastic!!

We did a back to back on Liberty of the Seas and the apple pie was my husband’s favourite!!! He had it almost every night!!! Love RC!!!

We loved coco cay! We went in December and our only complaint is they need to heat the pool. Everything else was so much fun!!

Coco Cay surprised the heck out of us with all the amenities and the variety of food. We got to check out the buffet on our second visit... wow. Loved it!! But yes, a little heat in the pool would have been nice, ha ha... :D

Had that apple pie on Allure in August and I agree it was the best cruise ship dessert ever! I was planning on having it again this year but now I’m probably going to have to wait until next year 😔

I did the opposite of you. I started at Chill Beach, then Oasis Lagoon. Lunch was followed by the water park. But no drinking or snorkeling.

Chill Beach was awesome! We got to explore South Beach a little bit on our second leg, but the weather wasn't quite as good as this first visit.

It seems that you finally influenced Dee to say Key over Kay. 🙂 I think I agree with the apple pie. It was definitely the best dessert on Royal. And I am not an apple pie person! My husband got it just about every night but I had to try everything else....I should have stuck to the apple pie...😋

If you'd like to know what kind of fish highlighter and biggie are....highlighter is a Yellowtail Snapper and Biggie is a Mutton Snapper... both are very delicious...lol...and the "Trumpet Fish" I believe is actually a Hound Fish... which has the most and biggest teeth of the three...lol...love watching the snorkeling videos...

Ah, the water park is all or nothing from what we’ve seen, but you could definitely make an entire day out of chillin’ at the wave pool and snack shack. We enjoyed the non-wave pool over on the freebie side as well, but the music was bumping so we didn’t get to record a whole lot, hah!! :P

I don't wear contacts and all I see without my glasses is a big blur, hah... I've been looking at getting a prescription mask but haven't gone to get my prescription yet... floating is more my speed anyway!! :P ~Jay

One thing to try on the goggles before you buy something is to swim under water without the mask first to cool your face. You face is warm and the water is cool = fog.

I bought a really expensive mask and it kept fogging, was in Mexico on an excursion and couldn’t figure out why the tour guides $2 masks was working better than my $150 mask and he said my friend you didn’t cool your face. 🤦🏽‍♀️
