First, I want to say that I've been a huge Decemberists fan for almost 20 years. I've probably listened to the original version of this song 100 times. This is one of the best covers I've ever heard of any song. The syncopation and tempo fluctuations you added were great. Also, the emotions you added to the lyrics were absolutely on point. Really, really impressive, dude!

My only note here - please don’t over sing it. I know it may seem more dramatic that way, but somehow, especially in the lyrics of the dying mother...slow and softly sung would actually be more dramatic, in this instance. Just my opinion. Sometimes less is more. Excellent, otherwise!
