Polanko with some fantastic grabs today to make up for his cascade of errors to begin the season. Difference in the game IMO. Also elite pitching for once from the starter as well. Crazy that the mariners offense comes alive in extra innings but can’t sniff the box score otherwise.

@@LeoScott But it was a regression in many key stats across the board from 2022, driven primarily by 2 good months & at 6 times the salary of 2022; he had a poor first half of 2023 and cratered when we needed him in September. I don't know if I would get rid of him, but considering he is, again, off to another poor start - at double his 2023 salary - I think we need to start questioning if he is living up to the hype & contract; I don't think so.

@@LeoScott You may feel that it's not a big deal and certainly from an isolated, individual, perspective it isn't. I still see an individual who is making more money year over year while his performance has decreased. He was inconsequential in the playoffs in 2022, did not help the M's make the playoffs in 2023 & has not started well in 2024. We will see how he ends up at the end of the season - I hope he can turn it around because the team is reliant upon him for success.
