Servais' nonchalance about the offense kills me. To look at their last game in Houston as their best offensive showing of the year so far is unreal. 3/14 with runners in scoring position is great? Between him and Dipoto the reign of mediocre expectations has truly begun.

As a Rangers Fan, your manager really needs to learn how to pull his starters. I get riding a hot hand, but sometimes guys just get figured out and you lose a lead. Also need to tell your guys that singles are ok with RISP. Don’t gotta swing for the fences every time

Oh my God, I don't know what J Rod needs to do, but damn is he struggling to hit at all this year. Mariners need to make some trades to make up for only acquiring players from the scratch and dent aisle of free agency.

Well, the M's got Cy Young-caliber pitching - again - but the offense failed - again. Of course the Twins SP sets a career best record in K's against the M's - who fanned 14 more times and only had 3 hits for the game. Ugh. Julio with another goose egg of performance - now below a .300 OBP. Ugh. Tough loss for Castillo. Go M's!

M’s a meager 3.57 Runs scored per game - This classic Seattle. - stellar starting pitching, meager run production - Julio’s OPS+ now at 79 - absolutely wretched. Someone tell Julio baseball doesn’t start in June.

Wouldn’t be so bad if the team wasn’t hitting .220 collectively. Being as bad as they are offensively is really mitigating what has been outstanding starting pitching for them this season. Same problem as last season. Seattle fans are finally waking up to the reality of where that extreme of a roster imbalance leads though, as they have seen this story many times in the past. Their pitching keeps them hanging around .500 long enough to be in the WC mix late into the season but they eventually fall short and the rare times they make it to the tournament, as soon as they have to play a legit team in the postseason, their season is over (they historically have actually done well in WC rounds but are abysmal in the divisional and ALCS). The only difference is this season, the AL West is currently the worst division in baseball, and unless the Rangers offense can get back to mashing, it’s probably only projected to require being around 10 games over .500 to win the division, so Seattle’s only hope for a postseason spot will be to try to win the west…. assuming the Rangers offense doesn’t figure things out and start mashing, as at that point, they will start to pull away in the division standings pretty quick.

Meanwhile, the Rangers currently lead the A’s 11-2…….. in the bottom of the 2nd 😂 Looks like the Rangers may be finally ready to have their offense start taking off. Everyone but Adolis Garcia currently has a hit for the Rangers lineup so far. Semien is already 3-3 😂😂 If the Rangers offense wakes up, they should have a comfy 15 game lead or so in the AL West headed to the All Star break

Perhaps Stanton can trade Dipoto/Hollander for the Padres GM and president of baseball operations. The Padres have actually shown they want to win now with their big moves in recent years, including their most recent trade for the reigning NL batting champ Luis Arraez. No way Seattle couldn’t have known the Marlins were likely going to start their fire sale soon with the way their season is going and couldn’t have thrown their hat in the ring for Arraez. He would be your full time solution at 2B. Polanco has had a couple nice homers for Seattle this season but he’s still not even hitting .200. Arraez hasn’t homered yet this season but he’s still hitting .303. Seattle is simply unwilling to spend on hitters though unless they are REALLY rolling the dice on locking up a prospect for a while.

Rangers fan here, this won't be the 1st time the Rangers and Mariners will battle for 1st place. With that Starting Rotation, the Mariners will always be a threat. If only they had an offense.
