If you go camping take the warmers with you & when you wake in the morning & your boots are in the porch of the tent, stick the warmers in the boots & once you're ready to stick your boots on they are toasty warm, or like someone else said use them to warm up your sleeping bag.

I do like the idea of charging items in a bug out situation. I rather carry a small solar panel to charge things than 100 batteries. In my situation my bag is an inch bag. If it gets to the point I am leaving I wont be coming back.

Great review bro. Not a big fan of those pre-made kits, though I can see the usefulness for someone who has no clue about emergency preparedness. At least this would give them someone the basics. I do like the compartments and organization. I just find these kits overpriced and tye gear is usually cheap crap.

I think a get home bag or bug out bag should be individualized to the persons skill set. That’s why I prefer to build my own. But these videos are very helpful to see what gear is out there and get ideas to better your bag.

Interesting video. I definitely agree with those who say a self made kit is almost certainly more ideal, pertinent to individual skill sets. But this one is probably best for a bugout situation that ISN'T necessarily in the woods (i.e. abandoned building, vehicle etc.). Convenience, though, is ALWAYS overpriced

Great video man! I see many comments saying you "need to make your own bag". I own 7 vehicles and drive whatever according to the day. Stuff like this works to just toss in the trunk of each one and forget about it. Been looking for something like this, but higher quality. I have to admit, the pack is pretty sexy though.

The bag is def overpriced, but at least it's not as expensive as others, like the Uncharted bag. Of course, I prefer to make and edit my own kit, but this isn't too bad for a beginner who wants a bag sooner than later and is maybe willing to learn how to use the gear and upgrade in the future. I think they intended the tent to be like a base for a shelter that keeps in the warmth and you would just place brush and sticks over top of the shelter for better protection. But, I agree. They should have put a tarp in the kit instead of the tent.

For the price they better be giving you a Victorinox multitool and at least a Becker BK-16 as a knife, a Silva compass, Titan paracord, Olight flash light, and other name brand gear (preferably USA made at the price of this kit). I like the idea to use pouches to organize the gear though. I wonder if I could get just the bag without the gear and build my own kit

great video. I like gear reviews and I love your candid comments on the gear. Like the water pouches. It would be better to include 4 16.9oz plastic bottles of water. They can be reused refilled and or repurposed for other things. The water pouches can not. And I agree with the rechargeable CRAP. I say crap because after the first day of a 3 day survival, how do you recharge the devices? Make more vids and Ill watch and like.

@Gadgeteer22

The warmth + shelter component is also missing some sort of ground insulation to sleep on; preventing heat loss through conduction. This could easily be remedied by adding some bivy bags, one to stuff with foliage and one to sleep in. Or even two 55 gal. drum liners that could also be stuffed with leaves, then tied together. What would have been an innovative concept for Rino to accommodate for insulation, is to add a sleeve in the backpack's back panel, where a foldable sleeping pad could be inserted. Then no dependence on finding leaves or paper would be needed.

There;s a reason why SHTF bags need to be customised. Or when you're buying online given an option to customise. Like not many would need the hand warmers. Or some would really need more hand warmers than what there is in the pack. I love just the bag though. I wish they would sell those without the stuff in them so I can make my own kit using their bag.

This is definitely for the majority of people who arent into survival stuff but may be coerced or encouraged to get one for the tough times. I do not understand using battery powered items over rechargeable items. I would add a solar screen & power banks. This allows for a lot more use than battery power will. Being dependent on batteries, seems like an extreme vulnerability. You would have to go into populated areas to get new batteries. Good-luck.

I've recently watched several KZbin premaid survival pack videos. For the money this is probably the worst. The esee probably the best but I'm not going to spend $700 for it. Make my own...i understand the essentials. Definitely need a small handgun with ammo in any survival bag which of course isn't coming in prepackaged survival bag😄 As well as a very high quality fixed blade knife. Came to the conclusion , I'm going to build my own... It will be quite Robust!

From what I saw I'm in the same boat as you. The stuff doesn't seem durable enough for real application, I mean the "tools" looked cheesy and the excessive branding shows that they ordered them from the same place walmart contracts out to make the 11 dollar multitool. I agree that it's better than nothing but for not that much more money you can make an equal setup with better built tools and equipment. All that being said, another great video man, I see this channel getting big!

Is it ok? Have you used it?
@waynemorgan8727
@waynemorgan8727 2 жыл бұрын
@@PandaA-cv3mm That type of compass is actually easier, in some ways, to use with a map and for traveling. Depending upon the model, you can draw a line between your point of origin and destination, orient the 'N' arrow to magnetic north, pick up the compass and turn until the red needle is pointing north. It's much harder to explain than to use, and if you prep your maps with parallel magnetic north lines, you can navigate from point to point pretty quickly. There's a sport popular in Europe (especially Sweden and Norway) called "orienteering" that combines map navigation and cross-country traveling and those compasses were developed for the sport. I used one in my military survival kit for years instead of the lensatic compass, just because it was quicker to use.

Nice concept but cheaply implemented. Great review though.

A lot of your recommendations also makes zero sense. Did you see the size of the bag? How in the hell do you expect them to add gallons upon gallons of water in there with additional MREs? The idea here is to survive, not thrive.

no shade on you or your table top look over/review BUT for $399 + that bag is NOT viable.....BIG THUMBS DOWN for the kit...only plus was that it was packed modular

@@MarineX Same here and making it modular will make it easier to find what your looking for. I might attach lanyards to them so I'll know which pouch they go in and won't loose them. Got that from watching a break down of a pilot's vest.

Good video, but I would not recommend that bag. It may make you feel safe, but it won’t get the job done in an emergency. Thank you for showing us what not to buy. Separate pouches is a good idea, though, and it looks pretty, but at the end of the day what you will need depends largely on where you live (urban vs. rural) and the time of year (winter vs. summer). Most people can make a better kit for free with stuff they already have around the house. BTW, don’t just include what the “experts” recommended; add items that are personal as well. In other words, one person may want or need some things that others do not, I.e., medication. In your case I would recommend a thesaurus, because there is a limit to the number of times you can say “robust” on KZbin without getting flagged. (Relax, it’s just a joke. Everyone gets tongue-tied making these videos.) Nice editing, good camera work and lighting, and clear audio. Well done!

Nice idea just made with cheap quality and not worth +$400 they made the outside of the bag better than the inside and the actual items in it.

Molle, military colors and flashy backpacks....when is someone going to be real. In a situation where you need to escape & evade and get home or to a destination safely...the idea you're going to make it there in one piece with a glam pack and a 9mm is ludicrous. A Semper Fi shirt and a red cap and attitude will make you a target. Go to Goodwill and buy a used backpack. Put a set of shabby clothes in it and the bare necessities and you'll make it. A clean Mr. GQ tacticool is going to get captured, injured or killed within 30 minutes of the SHTF scenario. You need to evade 100s or 1000s of the good guys and the bad. A "homeless" guy drifting through doesn't raise attention or appear to be a worthy target.
