Thanks for showing how to pop it open! I got a Super Mario Bros 3 Mario I was going to sell, but realized it would make a great notification indicator light, or add leads to power a strip of them in a row so you can wire them to the wall and not worry about dumb batteries

Neat video, I just found my Chun Li Pixel Pals, unfortunately, the battery acid damaged the inside so I just wanted to see the interior. I'm currently fixing/cleaning it and hopefully, I'll revive it 🙏🙏

I actually liked it better at a dim state, the colours looked better. Quick question though.. do arcade machines have a 3v source? my mate wants these permanently wired to his arcade machine topper and I'm not sure if they have a 3v supply somewhere or if I should just buy a 12vto3v transformer for him. thanks!

Hi, I have a question, I want to connect the positive and negative cables of a USB cable to the pixel pals, do you know if those LEDs are 5V LEDs or 3V LEDs? I do not want them to break down if I do that trick, I would like to know if the usb adapter accessory brings a 5v to 3v transformer inside or it is just the same as what I want to do but in my DIY version, sorry for the traduction.

i just measured it with my meter and the led's are getting 3v.

Yeah, these really need to be hacked for a power cord. 8 hours isn't worth it if they're on display. Also, a make your own kit would be nice but the electronics would be tricky to pull off.

Thanks for uploading this!!! Any idea what the battery life would be if you turned it on and left it on until the batteries were spent. Any reason to think that the LEDs could melt any plastic anywhere after long periods of time of being left on?

I know your question is old. The LED they use dont get hot enough to melt anything. I have mine light up 12 to 24 hours since I bought it 3 years ago. My only worry is where to buy replacement LED if the original ones dies out

6 hours of full brightness, then 2 hours more as it dims down, tested with two freshly charged AAA Eneloop rechargeable batteries.
