This is a genius idea. I love the "come back here!" When big mx chases you. Maybe there can be a whole game where mx chases you randomly throughout the whole game and he can kill some enemies for you like the original re3 nemesis.

Suggestions I have: - In the main menu, MX could look at you if you stayed AFK in the main menu for too long and stop looking the moment you press an arrow key (maybe even if you minimalize the window and come back). - The world 1-1 & life counter screen duration and pipe loading needs to be just a little bit longer for the accuracy. You should also start with 3 lifes instead of 5. - Maybe in the underground bonus section there could be a barely noticable "Run" carved in the bricks (ignore this unless there will be other "self-aware" entities). - When you hit an item block that was supposed to have a power-up, the game creepily freezes and goes silent/screeching audio plays for a second and then it just gives you a coin, indicating that MX is messing with the game and is preventing you from getting any kind of help. - The mountains and clouds could start looking more deformed over time (but not that much, unless you pay attention), not just that the sky gets darker. Those are my takes. Looking forward to this game! C:

- lucas has 5 lifes so you get few more attempts to beat mx, it will be most likely changed in world-1 demo; - coin idea sounds cool but i dont think thats rlly necessary tbh; - im not sure abt world 1-1 and life counter screen duration cuz sadly i dont have any footages to compare m85 with og smb; - clouds and hills are deforming during 1-1 already, in world-1 demo at least; still thanks for feedback tho!

@@squishybox7901 Since you updated your comment - I think most of my ideas can be scratched off already, however, I would still love the first one to be implemented. The third one could be something like this instead: if you stay in the underground bonus section for too long (you must collect all the coins first) the music starts getting quieter and gets replaced with unnerving ambience. After a while, a giant MX face comes out of the background darkness and says something like: "you cannot hide". Then it's up to y'all as to what happens next. Have a neat day.

This looks like a genuinely really fun concept for a fangame and it looks really well executed. I like that the gameplay is kept relatively simple and straight forward. People are upset because there are other horror fan games? it IS really cliche in its presentation, unsettling white pixel guy over black background being ominous. its been done to death but... did u guys get scared that Mario made a scary face and now you don't wanna play? 🥺 it looks fun!

⁠@@5up349Frankly you talk like a 11 year old but not going to get too into that My main point is that literally every official Mario game after the original contains some "love letter" to SMB1 so it definitely doesn't need any of those. And the existence of a creepypasta game based off of Mario is pretty silly since Mario is largely a kids game, so any creepypasta content is just corrupted/altered versions of existing stuff... and "super cool" is subjective, for example... who's Lucas? Why is Mario this weird monster guy? There's no explanation and because there's no explanation, it isn't even scary, just nonsensical and going against what you'd expect from the game which is just unsettling at best. Anyways this whole debate is really stupid but frankly not sure why someone took the time to make an edgy horror fangame when there are tons out there with the same general premise of "oh no! a game got corrupted and bad stuff is happening!"
