Daaaaaang the lava queen for REKT in the end. Scent flying into the air by a reaction shot by Mario, proceeded to be shredded by bullets from Yoshi as she was STILL FLYING , Mario shoots her again while she is STILL flying, and then proceeds to fall off the edge into a lava pit....daaaaaaang.

OK so...you know that story expansion that's coming next year? I've got a gut feeling the Lava Queen, Bwario, and Bwaluigi will play some sort of role in it. Not sure what type of role but a role nonetheless.

well that is possible. since the trio just ran off somewhere instead of going poof. I think the role that they may have if they show up in the dlc may be just there to do another rematch with the heroes. since wario and waluigi really want to beat there rivals and that behavior seems to be same for there rabbid counterparts and for the lava queen she may have went somewhere else but she may do the same thing as well.

Jacob Spagnotti i thought about that as well. Here are my thoughts: even though spawny is no danger anymore, bwario and bwaluigi are still roaming around the mushroom kingdom causing chaos. The team embarks to get rid of the traces of the megabug the duo has, but they're not the only ones. Wario and waluigi have heard of their caricatures causing trouble, and they don't want them to drag their names through the mud. So, you play either as the story - team, or as the waa - team. At the end, not only do wario and waluigi join the team, but you also unlock bwario and bwaluigi as playable characters to join the hunt for a mysterious figure... that looks like bowser.... with rabbid parts..... the effects of the megabug fused bowser and a rabbid to create the secret final boss, rabbowser! And he is strong. Like, really strong. Even in easy mode with maxed weapons and skill trees, he is challenging.

Even if Bwario, Bwaluigi And Lava Queen are not in the next game, I think they should at least get their own tv spots or something in the future. Canon-wise they didn’t die (correct me if I’m wrong) and they all have the potential to have big personalities.
