I know also a cool shortcut. It's happened with Bowser Jr. but i think it is possible with anyone. At 1:21, you have to do a jump and land at the wall of glass. If you're high enough, you do your A-move and you are on the road without using the springs. It's tricky but it is faster to try (becouse if it don't works, you land on the spring) as the spring jump.
