Aztec is a historian word to describe the triple alliance in the region. The correct word to describe the people refered to Aztecs is Mexicas . The Xi makes a sh sound. Mexica people are alive and well in Mexico. They speak nahuatl. Nahuatl is the most spoken indigenous language in Mexico.
