There’s probably 5% of people that are mad because they lost money on the fight. 95% are just fans of the sport. A sport that is won based on damage. He did no damage. Look at the Pereira and Roundtree fight. Pereira is loved by most fans but Roundtree is getting a ton of love even in a loss for bring the fight to Alex and going out trying to win the fight. As much as fighters don’t care what fans say, fans are the reason they get paid. If there aren’t fans these fighters don’t make money. There will always be some haters but when it’s 99% of fans that view your fight negatively you should probably do some self reflection.

Everything aside Bautista did this to himself. Why did he say it will be a blood bath when he admits that this was his game plan? The backlash he got wasn't too much cause she tried to hug to a boring split decision, many fighters do that; he got it cause of what he talked before and after the fight, he wasn't even humble about it after the fight and prior to the bout he talked about bleeding and going to war or whatever that big-time chat in the conference

@nicster4986because Jose Aldo landed more in the third round. 17 to 10 and with most of his strikes being on the upper body. Most of Bautistas strikes in the third was knees on the thigh. And Bautista had no submission attempt or take down. So him winning the third round would mean that he won purely on control time. And keep in mind cage side control time is not worth a lot. Not enough to overcome being 7 significant strikes behind Aldo. People are also rightfully pissed because Merab kept getting told to work when he was fence wrestling but Bautista was allowed to stall for well over a minute and was allowed to continue stalling right after separation. This inconsistency of course enraged people.
