The hardest difficulty on this level was extremely hard...I couldn't even dunk because they always blocked my shots, I had to just throw it and hope it goes in x.x

@SMFTheDingo I agree. This level IS hard. I never beat it either. I have been stuck on it for about 2 years now. I never do tournament mode anymore because this level makes me SOOO mad, that I literally throw the game card at the wall. But now it's optional for me because I borrowed my friend's action replay a couple of days ago and unlocked all the rest of the characters I had to get. I also got all the ball colors from action replay, too.

you press a,b,x,y,l, and r all at the same time as soon as you start up the game from the ds menu, hold it down tho, and you might have to hold down start and select.

Here's some advice if you're having trouble. Imagine that you're on a pro team in gym for basketball, but you've never played before. That'll convince you to try real hard, and you'll block everyone and the such. That'll help when you don't have the ball. And the thing about being on a pro team is what's happening to me in school right now... I kinda suck, but I can't fail, or I get flamed BAD. :P

@TheFireFurnace To get Black Mage, you need to get gold in the Normal Rainbow Cup. I never really unlocked him/her [I'm not sure if it's a boy or a girl] MYSELF on my own, I used my friend's action replay and got all the characters I needed to get [White Mage, Black Mage, Moogle, and Cactuar]. Now I just need to beat this level and get gold on it and get gold on every other cup I need to get gold on [there's A LOT of them] and my game will be complete.

If you get a silver in normal Rainbow tourmey, you get white mage. If you get gold, you have Black mage. To get the dice ball, you have to get a gold in Flower tourney. To get a gold, you have to beat the opponent by 200 every game.

guys i figured it out all-round characters have the best balance, technique characters have the best control over the ball's direction, power characters are the strongest put the slowest, speed characters are the fastest and tricky characters have the worst balance but, when used by computers they have the abillity to pull there oponents off target so that explains why his characters were not getting the ball

I used to play that on hard mode, the best way to win is getting used to dribbling with using the pen, and learning the quick side step. If you practice that along using the coin technique, try to gather 100 or close so all you have to do is score for a decent lead.. plus when getting the ball watch which items they pick up, like lightning or a blue shell. In those cases I'd throw the ball full court, sometimes get lucky and score off rebound.. I would win by at least 250 on hard mode

For example, the rolling cannon balls on the pirate ship court don't appear on the map. And since you don't see them on the map, you don't see them coming from behind and you get hit from out of nowhere... Get's really annoying when you get hit consecutively >_< On the plus side, graphics and sounds are great, and controls are ok I guess. The game is at least worth a try. The game is import friendly, but I suggest you just wait for the US release unless you really have nothing to do XD

@CableCaptain ya i remember this level it took me forever to beat it, the trick is don't rely on slam dunks just try to master swishes like determine which spots on the map to shoot from, to get gold i remember i got lucky on this level what had happened was i got a star and happened to have a lot of coins and was able to sucessfully do a special shot giving me over 100 points (remember u cant do a special shot anywhere outside the 3 point line or they will stop it)

A lot of things can be done better here my friend. Your defence is quite sloppy (the ninja and black mage dunk were very unnecessary) and you should try to make less charged shots and more normal shots like lay-ups. Also try to collect way more coins next time before you score. This advice comes from a guy who beat them gold with 300+ to nothing by just collecting 100 coins 2 times in the match and making a few free throws. In total I only scored 4 times, but I was patient. When they had the ball I didn't just try to do ground pounds or anything like that, I just waited until they made a mistake (CPU always makes mistakes) and waited carfully at my net. After I got the ball, I tried to collect 100 coins as fast a possible and then go for the goal by never dunking, but just making free throws when I was close to the net. My team was Ninja, Black mage and Cactuar and Cactuar with a mushroom is very fast and can outrun everyone when he has the ball.

to unlock the dice ball u need to play in hard modus(ofcourse in tourney) and select the star tourney,u need to get ATLEAST SILVER....=p

u have to win by more than 800 points in da star cup and da easiest level is Bowser Jr. street. then play at glare desert a few times until u see cactuar's head and keep dribbling on it and win.

Well, it's not a bad game, but it's not incredibly good either. One of the main turn offs people had on this game is the AI of your teammates. They just stand there doing nothing. They won't even pick up the ball even though it's beside them. Main thing I didn't like about the game is the fact that some stuffs don't appear on the map (touch screen). *continued on next post*
