Me & other people of Caribbean background will tell you "Wha gwann bredren! A big chune dis'!!". This is the Caribbean soca sound masterfully remixed into a Mario Kart track. The percussion, the steel drums & everything is on point. The trucks with the mega speakers would blast this during Carnival. It would be an instant party, jammin' in the streets. Once this Covid-19 mess is done with & the islands resume their Carnival celebrations, I suggest you come down & party because the Caribbean women will love you for stuff like this. Productions like this, you would draw the attention of a lot of artists. You would be welcomed as family, trust me.

@@Iceferno As a Caribbean islander myself (from Trinidad the birthplace of the Steel Pans a.k.a. Steel Drums), I can surely say you have indeed mastered the "Soca" vibe with this piece. Everything from the typical Soca drum beat to the accented motifs, really make your remix what we would call "big tune" (lively song) haha! Awesome work, especially with those rolls (trills) of the Steel Pans. Most times, electronic replications sound robotic and like a rapid-fire gun LOL but you've made it blend quite smoothly and that's a great feat in itself!

Ahhh so the name is Soca. It's great to finally have a means to identify similar music. I'm not as well versed in certain styles, so I appreciate this. Yeah I was really proud of those drum fills at 2:38 and 4:30. It felt like something that would fit despite me not being knowledgeable in the genre itself. The music of the Carribean, Africa, and Latin America has incredible intoxicating rhythms.

​@@Iceferno @NMEMITV Where I'm from, you could even classify this music as a sub-genre of Soca called "Pan Kaiso" ("Pan" referring to the prominence of Steel Pans/Drums) where motifs like 0:59 are used all the time! I had to listen to this not once, not twice, but THREE times on my drive home today! No other song sounded good to listen to after the first time. You took all the energy the original could have to the MAX. This is incredible! One minor nit-pick... At 2:23 my hands wanted to beat "one.....................one two............................" and then maybe "one two three............................one two three four" instead of one..................one.............................one.....................one. But it's definitely not bad the way it is now. This for sure earns the title of my favorite video game remix ever! This is outstanding! A summer go-to FOR SURE!
