People say Nintendo don't make good games anymore. If anything they keep making the same games with better visuals. All 2D Mario games follow the SMM3 formula, while 3D versions more or less are based on Mario 64. Even Mario Kart pretty much rehashes itself over and over. TBH I have no complaints because they are giving me more of what was perfect for me. Everytime I play a new Nintendo game, I feel young and carefree again. No other developer has manage that with me.

If anything, modern Mario Kart's formula was established in Mario Kart 64 with only tweaks as time progressed(except for the notable outlier that is Mario Kart: Double Dash
