I thought I’d be explain something interesting you may want to know about the racing system, Zebra. Every racer has three characters who are designated as their rivals. They will be always be your main competition like clockwork. Two of them will always be present in Grand Prix and Battle Mode, whereas the third is only occasionally present. That’s because one of the two permanent rivals is an unlockable character, but they do not appear unless you’ve unlocked them. Until then, the third rival fills in for them. Once unlocked, they take the third rival’s spot permanently, leaving the latter to only appear occasionally. For example, in the last video, when you were playing as Mario, his two rivals were Peach and Bowser. Bowser will always appear when you race as Mario, whereas Peach is the occasional one who is currently filling in for his unlockable rival, who I will not spoil now. When Mario’s unlockable rival becomes available, they will take Peach’s place permanently, and Peach will appear only occasionally as a third rival for Mario from there on out. This is more evident to see if you play as a certain character multiple times. I know this is a lot to read, but I promise you, you may want to keep this in mind once you get to 150cc.

@@jordancooney6817 I won’t tell you exactly who it is, in case Zebra sees it, but seeing as you know the roster, I will give you this hint. When Mario’s other unlockable rival becomes available, it will be as if Mario is always battling against himself in a different form. That should help.
