Piranha Plant Slide's soundtrack has always been a favorite of mine; the way it incorporates the underground theme from the original NES Super Mario Bros. is brilliant! Just the way the melody progresses throughout the track gives me the chills; I'm super excited to share this remix with the world!
I say this almost too often, but once again I feel I've outdone myself; this remix might be my best work yet! Never have you heard a Mario Kart track so groovy, so funky, and yet SO BANGIN'! Enjoy!! 🏁

Wonderfuly done, Player2! Before anything else, mad props to you for selecting tracks that often go under the radar, like this one. It's clear that you select tracks from games that you genuinely love or are interested in remixing (like Balloon Fight, for instance - talk about an off-the-beaten path choice!), and I just admire the heck out of that. And although some of these lesser-known picks may not necessarily be super SEO-friendly, your ever-growing community clearly loves what you produce every time, and you always dedicate the time and energy to show that love back. That's what it's all about! 💛 Okay, before I get too worked up here, more about the remix itself! As others have mentioned, the instrument and synth choices are completely on-point here. Amidst those dominant and bold brassy synths, you've got these satisfying, sort of bubbly sounds providing support in the peripherals and also answering the melody lines. Also, that chipsynth used for the "Underground theme" lick at 0:36 is too good... and I love how you use a different synth for the other part of the Underground segment at 1:18 for some nice added variety. Oh, and in that same section, the transition at 1:19 sounds incredible, with the way the drums sort of morph and phase in that drum break. I swear, there's so many moments in your music where I put the left arrow key through heck just to hear 5-second segments repeated over and over again, and that's definitely one of them! Another one of these instances was at 2:16 where you just have this chain of transitions constantly upping the ante and segueing seamlessly into one another. Too good! And man, I love the extent to which the sound effects interact with events in the video! It feels like you really went all-out looking for opportunities to sync up SFX with the visuals here, and it came out great! For instance, that Blue Shell crash sound lines up perfectly with Peach getting blasted at 2:08 (right after that slick video transition accompanying the cymbal crash at 2:03), and somehow, that racer zooming overhead shortly after is perfectly in sync with the sound of a Green Shell careening by (and the fact that it appears to be a shelled character is just icing on the serendipity cake). I was genuinely wowed by all of the interactions between the music and visuals here, and I was really excited to see the return of that colored, glitchy screen shake at 0:08 - it looks so dang cool! This remix has been a blast to listen to since its debut.😁It's always a pleasure to read what other people have written, too - and seeing your gracious responses to everyone just warms my heart. Truly fantastic! 🌟

I do try to pick personal favorites, because in reality, the higher connection I have with a specific soundtrack, the more accurate I can be with the remix-it's crafted from the inside! ✨ The chiptune underground section was such a subtle hint to the original SMB, I _had_ to make sure that section stood out because that's the ear candy retro listeners want to hear! Nice ear hearing the two separate sections, you're always paying attention to the finest of details 😉 Something I learned back in the ol' college days is that if you want to spice up your music, add uncanny sections that you would expect to be longer; so for example those two builds you mentioned at 1:19 & 2:16 are 2-bar & 1-bar builds, when most dance music builds ends up being 8-bars; it provides a new unique way to add tension during the cliamx section of the song to intensify those spine-chilling nerves!! And on top of that it makes the structure of the song unique, adding to the surprise factor! I may have mentioned this before, but when I first started producing music for YT, I started off with just the boring "album artwork" with music playing in the background; but now I think I'm finally at the point where I've realized visualization is _just_ as important to the music, so thank you for always pointing out how the visuals compliment to music well, I super appreciate that! Equalyze, your down-to-earth personality truly resonates through your comments, thank you as always! 🙌

Dude! How do you make absolute bangers so fast?! Right off the bat that bass guitar is GROOVING! And the brass type leads throughout are perfect! Especially the one during the beat drop at 0:50 and again at 2:03! It's fat and juicy when paired with that thumbing bass! And the use of sound effects with your transitions is absolutely phenomenal! Haha in all seriousness I have a specific preset formula with Mario Kart tracks that I can typically get these remixes done fairly fast! However, the last two weeks were technically remasters & those take _a lot_ less time so I've been able to fine tune this remix to perfection over the last few weeks! But there's even MORE bangers on the way; it's stressful releasing on a weekly basis, but it's totally worth it 🔥 If you ever need mixing or production tips, I'd be happy to share!

This is amazing! I love the groove you got going on here with the deep rolling bassline and the tight beat combined with the brassy leads! Thank you sir!! 🙏 I’m actually pleasantly surprised how well brass works in dance tracks as well, i think the key is to keep the lead layering low so that there aren’t competing frequency ranges; and then when I brought in other elements, I raised the brass an octave so the synths could take up that mid-rangey space! & yeah the melody in this track had plenty of spacing for drumfills, it was fun to make!! 🙌🔥
