Mario Kart Arcade GP 2: Item Showcase & Special Item Analysis

In this video, I dissect all the items in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 by rattling off their abilities and what they do. Some items I couldn't get like the Mouse Cracker because it was too hard to find footage of it, and some items I can't unlock because I've already gone past the 4000 Mario Coin limit for unlocking items, but they were all just triple variations of items. I also displayed the properties of the special items but didn't show all of them, because they're all essentially the same, split into 5 different classes, but all having the same effects, just different aesthetically. Nintendon't doesn't seem to translate the steering wheel impairments, but I did notice that the lightning rod's shocked flashing also causes the controller to vibrate incessantly, so there may be more to it than just a visual effect.

Would be nice if the next Mario Kart brought some of these "status ailment" items and the "item attribute" from Mario Kart DS. *The item stat would affect your item's status duration, improving buffing items and raising your resilience to bad status effects.* For example, having a high item stat would elongate the starman, raise the boost time of Mushrooms and at the same time reduce the time/effects of status ailments inflicted on you by other players.

If the black shell Invincible mushroom and metal Mushroom electric stick and train banana eventually return maybe one day maybe the year of 2021 we'll probably get a new Mario Kart game called Mario Kart 9, and I wish those items would appear in Mario Kart 9 so badly.

I feel like getting shocked also caused a steering wheel effect, but I can't quite remember what. Whatever it is, on Nintendont it translates to the controller vibrating like a bat out of hell.

did you know that in mario kart arcade gp 1 there is a special item which is exclusive to wario called wario car which is the same as the star except it turns the regular car into warios car from the warioware series and becomes invincible temporaily. however it was removed in mario kart arcade gp 2 because warios car is available to wario as an alternative kart.

same goes with bowser but with shell body which is pretty much the same as wario car but changes the car into the shell body. remove in arcade gp 2 because it was available as an alternative kart
