This video shows how many Pipe pulls I had to do to get Mario (Sunshine), Surf Sailer and Starchute (Spotlight Character, Kart and Glider for Los Angeles Pipe 1) in Mario Kart Tour on Android and iOS. This also includes some gameplay of this new Mario variant.

You only realistically manage to scrape 45 gems per Tour. Not to mention the tier score leaderboards (aka the most income you get gems from) only gets harder and harder with more people with the Gold pass surpassing you easily
