Just in case anyone is wondering, here’s an explanation of how to get 3 stars in MKWII penalties and bonuses, don’t hit walls defend yourself with items, try to not get hit with items, stay in >9th at all time, don’t go off-road and get 60 points and also if it helps do the ultra cut on wario gold mine and grumble volcano and you should get it :) if you don’t try again =)

Just did this cup and didn’t touch a single wall didn’t go off-road once didn’t fall off once got 60 points and front ran the entire time and only got 2 stars

50cc is genuinely the hardest one to get 3 stars on for whatever reason. I'll be 1st the whole time, never go off track, never hit any obstacles, trick every jump, get every boost, beat 2nd place by 10 seconds, and I still can't get higher than a 2 star on any of the 50cc cups.

I can't believe how hard it is for anyone to get 3 stars on any cup. The best I got was 2 stars. Why do you have to go so fast to get the third?! It's so unfair!

On 50cc, it's more about being careful rather than going as fast as possible. Like if you accidentally go offroad, you get a penalty and the chances of you getting 3 stars goes lower. You want to avoid going offroad, hitting walls, hitting enemies (like goombas and chainchomps), and falling into pits.

@@eric_t123 CPUs throw millions of shells each race. It's unavoidable, even with back protection, considering the blue shell. I suppose I was a bit triggered when I wrote my first comment.

do you legit have to play as mario with the default car? I'm using peach and the classic dragster. which i think is super fast. i stay in 1st for like 90% of the fucking time i constantly avoid the pow block by shaking the wiimote and i cant get fucking 3 stars in 50cc and i even hit multiple people AND some of those dumbasses kept running over my bananas AND i kept looking behind me every lap. I'm not crazy its not fucking psychically possible.

you don’t have to play as Mario standard kart (and peach classic dragster is very slow. try using the wild wing and don’t hit any walls or off-road.)

I assume he just uses it since it's the easiest to control. For automatic, since you don't use mini-turbos, getting 3 stars immediately on a new file is super hard unless you play perfectly, otherwise you need a bike to do tons of wheelies to get 3 stars.

Layton MKW mach bike, bullet bike, bowser bike (flame runner) are all inside drift fast and good bikes
