You should've watched Nick's perspective. He was literally going at 2fps half the race whilst Troy was going much faster.

Nick finished that race with 3:45 on the timer, so according to the game he was 20 seconds faster... that lag was insane

If you're referring to the lag, it's only fair. Nick was going at about 2fps for a large amount of the race whilst everyone was movie way faster than him. Lag starts are great to have in normal MKW, but item rain balances the item distribution so it doesn't make that much of a difference.

If you look carefully Troy messes up a blue shell dodge on Wario Colosseum for the same reason - in Formula Kart the blue shells don't trail you when you go uphill and instead dive faster so he was used to that

FF idea: every item has the long thundercloud animation before the item is used, so a mushroom won't boost you until the thundercloud zaps, you won't throw items, POWs have the thundercloud aswell as their own wait time.
