I've notice a lot when high ranked players play online they tend to use characters like Funky Kong, Daisy, and Rosalina mostly. I'm also guessing that the mech bike and bowser looking are among the best vehicles that people use. I tried them before their easier to control, turn, drift, and also they got longer mini turbos than the sneakster which I usually use, but their top speed is slower though. Just a thought.

@mittamaka It means you use the Wii Wheel pretty much all the time when you play MKW, especially online. i believe in order to achive getting the golden Wii Wheel icon while your playing you have to have somewhere in the high 90's % use of the wheel on your license. i think i only have like 4-5 % since i pretty much always use the wireless Wavebird GCN controller lol. hope this helps :D.

vr stands for Versus Rating, as oppose to br which stands for battle rating

in the begin of the lvl in 150cc. go left up the little moutain and drive a special line in it. and it counts as a round then. (look up grumble vulcano ultra shortcut)

I want to race too, but my network connection is so low, that my Wii has 0 lines, and can only get messages from friends, and can log in... But if I want to race against friends or other people, he will throw me out immediately. A network from 30Mbps, humpff... Stupid thing. So asking for a FC is denieded. To get the white steering wheel you have to use the wii wheel. To get stars by your name you have to beat every cup with at least 1 star ranking. So if you want 3 stars by your name you have to beat every cup with a 3 star ranking.

I witnessed someone *this* close to 9000 VR get last place in a race with me, and lose 262 points. I couldn't decide whether to feel sorry for him, or laugh my head off, justifying it by thinking of how many times I've lost by bad luck.

@Rambosee, if you have rank star or higher in all cups, you get a star and a golden wii wheel, so get rank star in all cups, and you get a star on ur wii wheel

I've got 9999 before ^_^ I play it every day though =P a bit sad you may say... I hate the noob tracks such as mario and luigi circuit where anybody with any skill level can win =/ I lose epic amounts of points on those sometimes!

there is a way to not spin out when hit by the POW block. ( if u dont know...)

If others disconnect, you don't lose points (your still on wi-fi, so the network knows that you didn't disconnect). If YOU disconnect (power-off or lose connection) then you lose points

ummm. if i would have used funky kong (which i only do in friend race if there are little good players) i would be much faster cause funky kong is a little faster and a little longer mini boost. and i think i take the corners better and i go on my behind wheel whenever it can rly. hope it helps u.

As you go up in rank it becomes harder to get ranking points. After a neck to neck 1st place win I got 27 points..... The next race was full of bad luck and items and I lost 113 points:( Now My rank is exactly 8200.

@OldSchoolGaming4Life I use the Wavebird too! :) I've seen MANY hackers and one of them failed so badly I could have laughed for almost half an hour if it was funny enough. This person was using a infinite star cheat at Koopa Cape. This person used a star through the cheat on the final ramp, only problem was the fact he was too far over and he fell into the water giving me first place. XD

The Golden Weel doesnt depent on your points. If you play with Mariokart wheel controller (only wii contr. without nunchuck or gamecube contrl.) you have a "wheel". if you play a long time with Wheel contrl. your "wheel get more gold

I was on the other day playing and some guy with 9999 was blue shelling-starring instantly anybody who passed him - ie. haxed up to the eyeballs. So I have to say my instant thoughts whenever seeing a 9999 player is always going to be ah well, a sad cheat. If you didnt cheat, well in though and you must be pissed when the majority of 9999ers out there are sad cheats.
