Very thanks for the tip of the Mario Lanza Blue-ray, Mr. Di Placido. Today I have listen this wonderful film and what a surprise! Excellent pictures and the voice of Mario Lanza is glorious. For me is the voice of Mario Lanza the most beautiful that reaches my heart. When I was 11 years old, I heard Mario`s voice for the first time. I am 63 year now and he's still my favorite singer. I own all the original records of him, against 100 CD`s, many original signed autographs, signed records, signed programs, and photos private of him with his family from his former sister-in law! Hopefully many people will still hear this unforgettable film of the wonderful singer!!!!!!!

You are too kind Armando! Tricky wee job but I am really happy with how it turned out. I’m becoming an emotional old fool though, as I put together the final moments with “Because” and Mario’s comments “It’s a wonderful thing, when the little piccina is a beautiful old lady she can play this for her great-grandchildren” with the “Because“ instrumental playing underneath I had tears rolling down my cheeks... A good sign that while working through the editing process you are moving yourself to tears, I knew I must be doing something right.

I know how it feels, Vince. I couldn’t stop crying while I was writing the Raphela Fasano chapter and I am often moved to tears when I listen to him singing. I find the combination of the music, lyrics, Lanza’s interpretation, and his magnificent voice irresistible and particularly moving in such songs, for example, as “Because” or “Serenade” from “The Student Prince.” Don’t ever be afraid to shed a tear!

Ho visto questo film tante e tante volte d’aver perso il conto ed ogni volta ero rapita dalla Sua voce rivedere ora spezzoni di film che conosco a memoria mi hanno fatto apprezzare anche la Sua recitazione perché in lingua italiana era sicuramente doppiato ma in inglese quella è la Sua voce così oltre il cantante si apprezza anche la naturalezza dell interpretazione che ritroviamo vera anche quando canta ! Vince: This is a wonderfully informative video, and I hope it sells copies of the Blu-ray by the boatload. Warners certainly deserve a bestseller here, as they've done both the film and the Lanza legacy a tremendous service with this immaculate remastering. Having watched the Blu-ray several times now, I couldn't agree more about all the things you've singled out here. (And, yes, it gave my tear ducts a workout too, especially during the Ave Maria scene.) While *Serenade* (warts and all) remains my favourite Lanza film----and I can only drool at the thought of how magnificent that would look and sound given the same treatment----this Blu-ray made me appreciate The Great Caruso more than I ever have before. It's simply an irresistible, endearing and supremely exciting motion picture.

Could somebody help me by informing me which Audio and Subtitles options are available in this Blu-ray release? I want to but this for my father from Amazon US but he wants to know if there is Spanish language available, ideally for audio, but could also be for subtitles. Thank you in advance.
