On top of my favorites was always Pavarotti. Now since 1 month i have been roaming KZbin for songs of ML. I have one of these Surrounding music systems in my car and i have learned to appreciate his talent, wether it is English or Italian. He is now my absolute number 1. Mario Lanza ist mein Lieblingssänger von allen Tenören aller Zeiten! Warum? Zuerst einmal seine unvergleichlich schöne Tenorstimme. Welche Wärme, welche Dynamikfähigkeiten, welche strahlende Höhe, wie er das Wort streichelt, die klaren Konsonanten, die Echtheit und Wahrhaftigkeit in seinem Künstlertum. Seine Ausstrahlung fesselt mich immer wieder aufs Neue! Er konnte ALLES singen, ob Opernarie, Operette, das Volkslied, den Schlager und das Lied. Und immer auf seine Art und Weise, die unvergleichlich war. Bei diesem italienischem Volkslied kamen mir mehrmals die Tränen der Rührung und der Begeisterung. Danke lieber Mario, Du wirst immer einen Platz in meinem Herzen haben!
