Honestly this is probably my favorite M&L so far gameplay wise Luigi isn't an inconvenience when platforming and feels his most useful in the overworld All bros moves are super solid, no bros moves get unused for me outside of green shell. Bosses in my opinion after the first two get really difficult, unlike most previous boss battles I genuinely get game overs. Also my boy Mario is in the game so it's always good.

I'd been playing the game since it came out, and only finished it yesterday. Did not expect to have 60 hours on my file by the end, but I greatly appreciate it. I love long form RPGs. That said, the pacing is very slow for the first half, but by the time Bowser is brought in, the writing and pacing pick up tremendously.

It has a slow start and feels like it was made as one of those kids shows like Barney or Dora the explorer’s in some parts. But most of those issues are only on the first three or so hours. Once you get past that point it starts to pick up so I definitely recommend it.

B button during battles and actually following Mario and having you have to time your jumps over gaps and stuff instead of having him auto-pathing towards Mario and then dragging you back if you get too far from it.
