Fun fact, this game actually does have anti-piracy measures! The only thing it does, though, is freeze the game right after you land the last hit on the final boss, and prevent you from seeing the cutscene, or doing the secret Bowser fight after it

It also feels like its not calling you a criminal specifically but rather at first thinking that you just don't know that you're playing a pirated game, thus giving you the benefit of the doubt since these could simply be made then sold. However, the game eventually realizes you aren't going to comply with reporting the anti piracy and it then paints you as the criminal.

It gives the player the benefit of the doubt, explains, then becomes a bit more creepy and paints the player as a criminal when they don't comply. It wasn't doing "hehe devil number because piracy bad".

Honestly you did a nice job with this. Portraying the piracy as like a way to teach you a lesson while enjoying the game mechanics offers a good way to encourage you to buy the normal game. I also love how the music is slowed down, it adds a nice touch to it while not making it seem obvious that this is fake
