Ive seen that exact trick in an Uno Mas. I cannot actually believe someone saw that and thought it was a good idea to put it in a level without any indication on how to do it. That's not even a meme, that's just straight up evil

@@1kenziepot22 It's a very VERY specific trick where you can hide the axe under a slope, and the ONLY only way you can touch it is sliding backwards after having done something. It's super weird, not sure why or how it works, but there's literally no possible way to know you're supposed to do it. Levels like this shouldn't exist.

The last level was so misleading. It showed you areas where you can’t even go like the key door to get you wondering how to get there. Even with Chat it took you like over 1 hour and without you would have probably needed a lot more time

That's pretty typical of a puzzle level, actually? After passing through the only key door you actually have access to, you find out it didn't go where you expected it to, and thus have to reform what you have available for going forward. Even if you got the bob-omb through the P-switch door to the previous room, there's no way to get up there at the same time. It's an obvious red herring that can be marked off. After that, you just need to look at what you have access to, and knowledge of the weirdness of how MM2 works, which a lot of the small levels like the Uno Mas series, showcase for people to learn and understand how they work, too, if you don't want to look at the weirdness as listed in wiki, for things like hitbox jank when on slopes and larger than small Mario. Even if you don't know about it, though, considering that power ups are denied EXCEPT that single mushroom, if you just stop and think about things the fact that you might have to damage boost is really the only end possibility, but there are only a very limited range of things to damage boost through that won't kill you instantly (limited basically to the saws), so you just need to apply principles of map requirements to figure that it's under that rightmost saw. After that, figuring out how to reach it is the tricky part, but there's only so many ways you can approach it before you try sliding on the slope. Panga is really not good at re-thinking what he has available to him, even when he's experienced jank like the slide clip mechanic before.

It's just a troll level that requires knowing a specific glitch/jank to solve. There's no "ummmm ackshually...", you either know the glitch/jank or you don't lol

I remember panga played some of the 4YMM levels had impressive puzzle elements. I remembered one puzzle that was legit hard, but some were fun and interesting! (Maybe except the Yoshi Egg bouncing one lolol). But this? Idk man, it's more of a weird tech feature than a puzzle.

Huh, for a while when I saw how garbage the last level was, I just assumed that either the axe was hidden behind a saw or something, or there was some kind of hidden block needed to make progress. I also realized that there were some saws on slopes on what looked like a part of the level that could be the end. So I figured that you needed to slide down that slope to reach the axe if you couldn't just walk down the slope and touch it. But I never would've guessed you needed to have a mushroom going down the slope in such a convoluted way. What a terrible level.

I think Panga mentioned this in the video, but...it seems prudent at this point to assume that difficulty level isn't determined _solely_ by clear rate. Otherwise, it would be a simple sorting/filtering function by the algorithm and clear rates that low simply wouldn't show up in Expert. I suspect there's more going on behind the scenes than just a bit of computer logic that says "greater than x clear rate goes here, less than x clear rate goes there."
