When i was 4 years old I could never beat Hard Mode Minigame coaster I was always got stuck at on abandon ship, 10 years later I tried it again and I still couldn't beat it, got stuck on Mecha Marathon. Now I'm 24 years old and I FINALLY beat Hard mode Minigame coaster! After 20 years I finally beat the Mode that I could never beat as a child, now I can finally enjoy the battle mini games!

Mecha marathon was specially brutal for kids since you could struggle to have enough endurance to beat it, unless you had a turbo controller that is.

I'm just glad Slot Car Derby is the last stage of World 1 in MP2's version of minigame island. Slot Car Derby was one of the very last minigames in MP1's minigame island. It ultimately means that when you inevitably Game Over yourself on to SCD; you can quickly get back to it and try again since the other World 1 minigames are super easy.

I am glad and not surprised to see that 50:00 was the most replayed part of the video; that 1v3 version of Shell Shocked was HARD. Even with save states, I would never have figured out how to beat those triplets like you did. Thank you so much for showing that you have to snipe the farthest koopaling twice, and then focus on one of the two sideliners. I used a save state to help me secure the last koopaling's defeat; we traded lobs

Yes. If it's on Wii that can support gamecube controllers, use something like the Hori Battle Pad for the Wiimote or a Turbo Gamecube controller.

I completed this mode just yesterday, and I didn't have much trouble with world 7. For Honeycomb Havoc, it's just a matter of using logic. Mecha-Maraton's button mashing wasn't very hard for me, I beat it first try. For Abandon Ship, the key is to not climb very high when there are around 18 seconds left on the clock, so that the fish doesn't hit you in their last jump and you can then mash A to climb the quickest to the top. Hot Rope Jump is not that hard either when you realise the key is to tap A very briefly, to have time to do each jump when the minigame gets faster. On Skateboard Scramper, I ignored the coins and focused on mashing B, and I won first try as well. Platform Peril was the thoughest. I finally won by making short hops instead of full jumps, (except when jumping off a platform that moves backwards, to reduce the time I spend on it). Overall, fair challenges you can overcome quickly. I didn't have to restart this world. The same I can't say about world 8, specially because of Sneak 'n' Snore, which asks you for inhuman reflexes!!

This world was easily the hardest world by far. Honey comb havoc, mecha fly guy especially. Abandon ship i have trouble with, hot rope jump wasn't horrible, but it can be tough to. I am usually able to ace platform peril, but that one can be annoying. Then skateboard scamper, you just go through and jump up the ramps for an edge i found out. Good luck. Hopefully you beat it soon.

For anyone who’s struggling with Mecha Marathon, there’s a glitch mentioned on MarioWiki where you unplug the controller after mashing the 2 buttons for just the first few seconds, and you’re character will continue to wind up the Shy Guy on its own for some reason. So I decided to try it myself, and after 7 attempts, it actually worked, and even got me just barely past the 40 yard mark.

I finally completed Mini-Game Coaster! Though a somewhat Hollow Victory because I used my Game Shark to cheat Mecha Marathon (I don't feel too bad about this one because it's a cheap Mini-Game to begin with) and I cheated on Hot Jump Rope just to finish World 7. Though after those were done, I removed the GameShark to finish the rest of the Mini-Games legitimately. I'm officially done with my 100% run on Mario Party 2!! ^^

Two words: Short hops. Most people screw this minigame up because they keep jumping too high, far too often. If you keep doing that, eventually the landing lag from jumping will throw off your timing. Doing short hops gives you more time to react, especially when the rhythm goes crazy after the 30th jump. You should only ever do a full jump if you think you jumped too early.

You could try a Hori Battle Pad turbo controller connected to your WiiMote. That Turbo function can make it a lot easier to complete mini games that require you to tap buttons repeatedly. Plus you can do save states too.
