If this was real, Nintendo would probably get in trouble for causing so many unnecessary 911 calls, which is illegal. Considering the main target audience of the game is children, there would be a lot of calls from confused kids who don't know what piracy is. This would keep staff from answering actual 911 calls, some of which are more urgent than piracy. Actually, all the calls turning pirates in could be considered clogging up the 911 system, so Nintendo would probably be in even bigger trouble.

This one is honestly so terrifying, i love it. I remember seeing a video on youtube when I was like 10 saying that there was a secret way to unlock a "DSi Phone" that was a fully functioning phone hidden in the ds firmware. I found out through dying later that apparently, if you blow into the mic, it clears the screen. The problem is not just the mic thing, but that there's a waiting period in between blowing into the mic and the ink coming off. This is during a (non background) enemy's attack, so you're now blowing into the mic while dodging batbot firebars.

The term is correct though, it means it's literally trying to force a connection to the network so it can start the call. I'm guessing the idea canonically is that it has a built-in feature to bypass the network security directly - the alternative (that it's literally trying to "brute force" the connection by guessing the password and such) is pretty dumb for a company with so much programming ability.

Only way you'd be able to get on a network before the battery dies is if there's a guest network nearby, which isn't guaranteed. DS is weak. Like, 67 MHz ARM weak. That's pretty darn weak, so the idea that Nintendo could crack a network within a few hours before the 850 mAh LiPo dies is laughable. Actually immediately kills the suspense for me.

It happens all the time with pocket dials, but as long as the caller confirms their location/info then they normally won't dispatch the call. Intentionally tying up emergency lines while other people could be in immediate danger is a criminal offense (Source: am 911 dispatcher)

@@NAFProjects if you paid attention to the video it said on the “DS” that it would perform an emergency Wi-Fi connection bruteforce which is pretty much bruteforce cracking your Wi-Fi and that’s illegal

@@FulllNameUnknown Calling 911 over software piracy is misuse of the service which the caller can be fined for. And since Nintendo bruteforce cracked your wi-fi to do that without your consent, Nintendo would be responsible for that. As such, they'd be fined and the police would request the service be shut down. Not to mention the potential criminal hacking charges that could be argued against Nintendo which would land them in hot water. EDIT: I forgot to mention the 5th amendment. They legally cannot make you admit to a crime, let alone something petty like software piracy.
