Watching this, the Bowser Card mechanic is silly. The penalty thing is fine, but having actually no chance of winning due to an unlucky draw is really stupid.

Yeah, but as much as I agree with you, it kinda makes sense that it makes you lose, considering this is a BOWSER card we're talking about. And if there's something we learned from past Mario Party titles, is that anything that's Bowser related automatically spells doom for us.

I see the comments wondering why this doesn't allow CPUs and is considered Skill Based. The whole point of this board is to manipulate your opponents into choosing the card you don't want and allowing you yo keep the card do. It's all mind games. That's why the Bowser Card is so harsh, it isn't punishing you for a bad draw, but rather for not being able to trick your friend into taking it during the shuffle. It's the classic One cup is Poison and the other Isn't trick. This is also why they don't allow CPUs, computers can't think about the possibilities of their opponents thoughts and so playing with CPUs truly makes this a 100% luck based mini game. (If I have to guess the development thoughts based on the information on screen).

Am I the only one who thinks that cards could actually make for an interesting mechanic for a Mario Party game? Instead of rolling dice, you draw a card with the number of spaces you wanna go forward. I mean, yeah, it's already been done before *(coughSonicShufflecough)* but I think it'd still be a neat change of pace.

Looking back on this game, it was really dumb of Nintendo to add an “online” feature that would only work if you happened to have friends that happen to have the game. Plus tbh this board is EXTREMELY underwhelming imo. There’s literally nothing to do on this board and the only special thing about the card mechanic is the Bowser gimmick, which is just “Go back a few spaces.” Honestly I would have gladly have rather their be no online mode and really for this board to not have existed. That might sound harsh, but this is really one of the most boring boards in the Mario Party series.
