actually mario party 2 and 3 fixed all the mistakes and extremely luck-based mechanics of the original game, but the original is still the one that started it all and paved the way. Also I love the music for Eternal Star and Yoshi's Tropical Island (and Mario's Rainbow Castle though I find that one a bit overrated and definitely not better than the aforementioned two)

I am truly so happy that i got to experience this when it all first came out. I was 10/11 maybe. Such good times. All the 64 games were awesome. Mario Kart, Goldeneye, Snowboard Kids, Diddy Kong Racing, Glover, Banjo Kazooie and the list goes on and on. I just have to come back every once in a while to get a dose of nostalgia. The other Mario games too. On the Super Nintendo. Truly such treasures❤ Kids these days have no idea😂

There was controversy in this game. In Mario Party, certain minigames require rotation of the Nintendo 64 controller's analog stick at top speed. Some players reportedly got blisters, friction burns, and lacerations from rotating the stick with palms instead of using thumbs because of the uncomfortable design of the analog stick and it is faster to beat the minigames that way. Although no lawsuits were filed, around 90 complaints were received by New York's attorney general's office and Nintendo of America eventually agreed to a settlement, which included providing gloves for injured players and paying the state's $75,000 legal fees. At the time, providing the estimated 1.2 million gloves could have cost Nintendo up to $80 million. This happened around early 1999 when it was at Fort Sam Houston, Texas and I was in 6th grade at that time, I didn't own an Nintendo 64 at that point yet, but when I got the Nintendo 64 later in 1999 for Christmas, I got 1 game, but didn't want to get this game, anyway, because of controversy.

This game brings back my childhood memories🙂 I remembered when I had my first Nintendo 64 I was a big fan of the mario parties game mario party 1 mario party 2 and mario party 3 the last mario party games made on nintendo 64. And then when I got my first gamecube for christmas I got mario party 4 and 5 and 6 and the 6 was my last one. My favorite playable characters were Peach, Daisy, Waluigi, Boo, and Donkey Kong. I have a problem, mariofan98, I tried to play Mario Party with a emulator N64 (sorry for my bad english I'm french) and it's Project64 1.6 and when the game started, when I'm coming in the pipe to start the setting to play a board, the screen of the game become black forever. And I would like to know hom to change the setting in the emulator to play Mario Party if you know, and ... you play Mario Party with Project64 1.6 or a another emulator ?

I never had Mario party and Mario party 3 from Nintendo 64 games at home but I have Mario party 2 game at home. But I sure hope I would ask my mom permission about Mario party and Mario party 3 game from Nintendo 64. Maybe? Or not.
