Mario Party: The Top 100 - Full MiniGame Rankings

Hello everybody, SlimKirby here, and it's time for another minigame ranking video, this time for Mario Party: The Top 100!
100 minigames, yet this is the second shortest video? Dang, I got through this quickly! It helps that I've talked about all these games before in other ranking videos I guess, and very few actually change between versions. Anyway, this was definitely an interesting experience of a game, one that continued more successfully in Superstars, but it was fun to at least see all the returning players here!
As I mention in all of these videos, as usual, this list is purely my opinion, so we may not see eye-to-eye on some placements and how I ranked certain mini-games, and that is absolutely ok. Feel free to discuss your own changes or placements in the comments section below. Also, i am back to streaming Mario Party on Friday for "Thank God, It's Mario Party Friday" on my Twitch channel! Ahh yes. The game that lies to you about which minigames are the best. In retrospect, they probably should have had a poll to see which minigames were the most popular from each game.

Bowser’s Big Blast gets the boot once again. Can’t say I’m surprised, lol. As much as I love that minigame, I can see why a lot of people don’t.

I know we'll never see eye-to-eye on Bowser's Big Blast, but I think you make some good points about luck-based mini-games in this entry specifically. With the main mode of this focusing on single-player, it's kind of wild they would have even included any luck-based mini-games at all. They are definitely way better in the classic format, with stakes on the line and with friends. Having to play those by yourself in order to just progress in the game is just irritating.

Yeah Slimkirby, I agree with you that luck based minigames should never have made it to the top 100, your surviving or winning is out of your hands and when and if you win, it feels like the game gave the win to you instead of you earning it. Also Tug o War should never have come back neither in this game or superstars, Tug o War has the worst control scheme and it could destroy the Joycon stick and I would rather lose than destroy my controls. I look forward to seeing you do Super Mario Party Minigame Rankings Slimkirby, I think I would like to see you compare Senseless Census to Roll Call. It would be cool to see how you rank all of the Minigames of Super Mario Party since it is the last Mario Party game with all New Minigames since Mario Party Superstars brings back returning Minigames.

The Toadstool titan name change is definitely strange. Only reason I can spitball is maybe they didn’t want to use the name Toadstool anymore since that was the older name for Peach. Or maybe they couldn’t mind a matching game name from their list. Oh well Mush Pit sounds cool at least at.

As much of a defender I am towards luck based games, I will admit that it was a horrendous idea to include them in the Minigame Island Mode. There should be a minimum of like one to no luck based minigames included in a mode like Minigame Island, 6-7 is overkill. It’s also overkill to have 6-7 luck-based minigames for a game to celebrate Mario Party.

Honestly, they should’ve just kept Bowser’s Big Blast and Strawberry Shortfuse, and then rejected the rest of the luck-based minigames, as much as I really love Deck Hands.
