For the bowser stealing the star, Shoto could have gone the other way after counting his remaining spaces. Preventable bad luck is not really bad luck. He did land at the golden shop twice during flash sales so can't really say he has that bad of luck. The others were just luckier having stars go their way.

It's best you don't take this too seriously. Shxtou is good friends with them, especially the blue one. They bully each other in other games and are sweet to each other when they meet up at conventions. This is all just content.

The only targeted acts they did is stealing coins with Boo. He lost because the girls were much luckier having the stars spawn right in front of them and rolling high when needed to. Swapping with Shoto who is near a star is perfectly normal. We literally saw them be patient at Shoto for being late and resolved his tech issues. I would get irritated a little if I am Shoto but friends bully friends in games.
