Aside from a short time where Luigi sounded like a higher pitched Mario, Charles managed to make the four sound distinct from each other and despite clearly having lost a notable amount of energy in his voice, he didn't stop loving his roles. Thank you, Charles Martinet.

It certainly does feel jarring now that I think of it now. Bowser just happens to be in some basement auxilery gym of the stadium, and to whip Wario & Waluigi that has nothing to do with bombing the place anyways. But then again; Bowser loves underhanded tactics, and over-the-top schemes in the name of sabotage. It would have made sense for Wapeach to do all of this. Maybe the image of an little girl torturing Wario & Waluigi would be rather... uh.. _crude_ if you will. Eventually, she will have to be just as bombed in the end.

NGL, this intro brings me nostalgia. I got this game for my sixth birthday and I watched this intro entirely. I always questioned why Diddy and Koopa were the only two characters that helped the Mario Bros. fend off Wario and Waluigi, felt weird the other characters didn’t help. Plus, it’s weird we never found out what the heck happened to Yoshi and DK. Did Bowser just take them off screen or something?

I like these silly little scenes where they show us that the brothers Mario and Luigi don't always get along, even if they are not canonical... that they have their moments of fights in absurd things like any group (in this case even) of siblings. Just as Wario and Waluigi have those few very short moments where they get along (they're not brothers, but that doesn't matter), the same thing happens when Mario and Luigi get along badly in very specific circumstances; both Mario and Luigi, like Wario and Waluigi, are mirrors of their own relationships as a pair of "partners" throughout their adventures, even in the most ordinary ones.
