The intro song for London was a good mix of the Mario and Sonic soundtrack styles. It mixed the majestic orchestral melody of the Mario games with the high-energy rock 'n' roll percussion of the Sonic games. I must say this is my favorite intro music of the series so far.

God, I will never get over how gorgeous this intro is. I remember being absolutely amazed by what I was seeing with my very eyes the first time I put in the game. This intro had captured my entire heart and being because of seeing how these characters interact, smile and just... y’know, be alive! They just put aside their differences and just work together! It had made me feel amazing. I adored these characters. I loved this game honestly, as simple as it was, it had enough to offer. I remember I had rented this game for myself, and I repeatedly rented it again and again until my mom decided to get it for me (greatful for that).

+Kandyland Growing up in the 80's and 90's as an owner of Sega consoles (and later, also Nintendo ones) with lots of Nintendo playing friends, I really hated the rivalry between the fans of the companies, and I doubted that Mario and Sonic would be rivals if they'd meet. Why would they? They're heroes of their own universes. That's why this series brings so much joy to me, especially watching my niece and nephew playing them, growing up in the belief that Mario and Sonic are friends.

Let's get one thing straight, here. Ever since its conceiving back in 2009, I've always hated the premise of these games. You had the golden opportunity to put Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog in one huge production, and you somehow came up with the idea of an Olympics themed compilation of MINI-GAMES. Such a waste of potential, in my honest opinion. But I can't deny.... THAT FUCKING INTRO WAS PHENOMENAL. It was presented so well, I swear to god I almost jizzed. The models looked great, the graphics were sharp and colorful, the animation was super fluid, the camera angles were an amazing touch, the music was dynamic, and there was something really magical about the way all of the characters interacted with one another. A smile was plastered on my face the entire time. I swear, if anyone skipped this cutscene if I were playing, I'd punch them into oblivion. But, I digress. Amazing job. This intro made me less reluctant to play one of these games. Still pretty reluctant though.
