You know, it's weird - in every Mario Sports game with the Final Fantasy Team in them, it's never explained WHY Ninja was after the Rainbow Cup & Star Cup trophies. In addition, it's really confusing that despite Mario Sports Mix having a full-fledged storyline, it's never actually explained why Ninja, White Mage, and Black Mage showed up in Mario's world (along with Moogle, Cactaur, AND the Sports Mix crystal and its components for that matter) - especially since Super Mario RPG shows that when you defeat Culex, the gateway from Mario's world to Ninja's is closed off. The Slimes from Dragon Quest being in Mario's world makes sense because Itadaki Street DS & Fortune Street exist (and the Dragon Quest series protags probably left some slimes in Mario's world as a gift of their appreciation), but why would the Final Fantasy characters show up if that world's gateway has been closed in the Mario world?

Good thing you didn’t get Basketball as the final because when I was playing as White Mage I always got Basketball which made me go to the extras and wait to get something better than that like for example Dodgeball or Volleyball
