Your not wrong about the Mario’s games it’s always save peach from bowser except super Mario 3D world but your still save things so I get it but maybe Mario more popular because his games stay consistent with making sure it’s well made while sonic aren’t really consistent in there quality… to be honest I love sonic and Mario games equally it’s just some sonic games are poorly made…this is just my opinion you don’t have to agree with what I’m saying.

I'd chalk it up to Sega dropping the ball on some of the 3d Sonic games. Kind of hard to beat the number one video game mascot of all time though. Everyone and their mom knows Mario. I won't deny that Mario games tend to be the same but the mechanics tend to differ from title to title. Sonic's whole schtick is run fast and spin so he doesn't have much to work with seeing as you always have to be going fast in his games.

I know people either say which is better: Sonic or Mario? However, I do not want to argue and I don't really care which character is better. Both characters are my favourites. Friend or foe? I enjoy watching enemies and friendly battles between the characters of Sonic and Mario even though I still like them. It did not bother me. I know Mario before playing Mario games on Nintendo DS and Wii since childhood before getting to know Sonic the Hedgehog. Of course, I like both Mario and Sonic. There's no denying how awesome both of the characters are.
