From the demo I played this one definitely more technical in terms of controls. A steeper learning curve for sure compared to the previous games where you can pick up and play in no time. But I'll still give it a shot to get fully invested in it. Love the artstyle of the game though.

From what I've seen, the goalie in this game seems to be very weak (or inconsistent). You just need to shoot from any spot, even with bad shooting stats, and the ball often goes in because boom boom is so bad. Why playing tactical when you can play like a braindead and just shoot and score? Even if the shot isn't even charged... Please fix this

Now I'm wondering. Are aerial shots still a thing? I remember being able to make lobbed passes and immediately shoot in charged, and it always looked really cool with the slowdown effect.

Yes they are. Make a lobbed pass and then shoot before you receive it in midair. You can also perform a perfect shot while being in midair.

@@indigo7898 Mashing tackle will detriment your speed, and charged tackles have endlag if you miss. Not only that but tackling an opponent who doesn't have the ball will be considered a foul and the game will give the enemy team an item for them to use. If you keep doing this, the game will throw in an Invincibility Star for the opponents to use, so the game means it when they say "be careful of your tackles."

Can't believe this game is coming out tomorrow on my bday. I played the first two games. Super Mario Strikers on GameCube with my best friend which was super fun and then Mario Strikers Charged on the Wii with other people. Second game on Wii was more competitive based with trick shots, chip shots, dekes and mega strikes. 'Battle League is a pure revival of the franchise and it's definitely going to resemble more of the first game but much better. Question is if you can do trick shots like you did in Charged? Charged had a competitive scene back then and I knew players that played this seriously with clans, as well as tournaments. Battle League added the clubs online feature which will make the game more competitive than Charged was with online play. Maybe the players I know that played Charged will come back and play Battle League competitive if they have a Switch. The new gameplay features in Battle League are great and back to 2 mega strike goals, rather than 6. Would have been cool if they kept trick shots which was a major competitive part of the last game in Charged. But I personally liked Strikers GameCube more so I would like Battle League a lot more. Too bad I don't have a Switch lol. I'm a PlayStation fan. Can't wait to see the whole review of this game and see people play this online with streaming, which I will watch.. What you guys think?

By intercepting, they would mean just simply running into the ball or tackling the ball itself, but you can prevent it by tackling the person who is going to receive the ball instead. CPUs in the demo did it to me.

Hm veary intresting alot of things are in this see this is what we needed a few weeks ago alot of control can go into the ball and shots to set up plays hm I do see how a crazy field could hamper that but to master it would be fun to throw over obsticals to score, also they put the American spin on scocors football name throwing the ball that looks crazy, so no new charaters wich is a shame would be a excellent time to do it maybe show off their strike but at least we got rosalinas strike I see a call back to Mario kart 7 rosalinas ice world track a cool concept (pun not intended but suits it) but I do see a similarity with daisys charged crystal strike wich is wieard I would expect rosalina to use star power and daisy to have that crystal effect veary intresting choice, but ya the game looks cool I'm a bit more excited now that theirs a understanding on what's going on and kinda see why the stages are kinda bland but for a dificulty setting hazards would make it way better once ya learn the controls it seams like a cool game still yet to see charater specific stuff but still looks awesome can't wait to play it on launch day.
