I think I do remember playing the DS one. I just finished two levels...and literally gave up on it. The only reason is that you're not Mario, but rather leading the Mini-Marios to their destination. Back then, I don't really like those type of games.

​@@CDRW24 it was actually Rare, the company who made the original Donkey Kong Country game on the SNES are responsible for retconning Donkey Kong in the first place. Rare is the one who started this whole identity confusion between Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong, or even Donkey Kong Jr. the character who was originally redesign until he was turned into a new character known as Diddy Kong today. Nintendo on the other hand stick to the same line where Donkey Kong and the OG DK are the same characters. 40 years is Donkey Kong's first appearance while 30 years is Donkey Kong's first protagonist role in original DKC after his last antagonist role in DK94. Nintendo has been proving this time and time again that there both the same character, It shows his pixel sprite and his modern appearance in the evolution pictures. Even Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. games both repeated that they're both the same, if you watch the Duck Hunt trailer and read the tips and facts in Smash 64, Melee, and Ultimate. And even the Super Mario Bros. Movie shows Donkey Kong's design that his appearance is combine between his original design from the arcade and his modern day appearance. And finally, if you watch the latest Super Nintendo World direct with DKC theme attractions, Miyamoto even mentions that Donkey Kong made his debute 40 years ago, from his evolution from 2D pixels to 3D. Cranky Kong on the other hand was never the case, and yet people kept ignoring the fact that he created the character since 1981 while Rare messed up the lore and timeline?
