Septile 5 well if we go canon to the main series of games (1,2,3,World,NSMB,NSMBW,NSMBU), the max he can hold on his person is two or three, and if you try to use menu power-ups from the later games, you run into a problem since there’s no possible way that he could hold 999 of each power-up in his pockets at once. I believe an argument could be made that he has some external storage for that excess that we simply never see. But even if he carried on of each power-up from the main series, he still can’t tank more than 3 hits before dying, and since we see in the games that he gets damaged from the slightest touch, I’d say Sans has a significant advantage over him. Plus Mario has never been able to do damage outside of a basic jump attack, a ground pound, and a momentary spin, all of which require great speed and close range, which canon Mario lacks in speed, and Sans is a ranged fighter, which again gives Sans the advantage. Also in this situation we are fighting in Undertale, so Sans has the home field advantage. Plus Sans’ attacks would start off being seemingly random to Mario, so it would take numerous lives before Mario could learn Sans’ attack patterns. I think it would ultimately be a matter of how many lives Mario has. If only 3, then Sans wins easily. If 10 or more, then it could swing in Mario’s favor depending on how fast Sans is able to end each life

@Wolfgalaxy that's game files but not what the lore shows, if you slash him it will show that you did 99999 dmg, aka 99999 hp that you took from sans, when you kill someone it only shows the hp you take from them since you can already watch the dmg you can make trough the stats in the menu, and don't forget that sleeping gives you hp above your limit, and guess who are we talking about sleeping

This is a counter-argument to the B statement. He back stabs the opponent how killed all of his friends. I'd say that Sans looks at it this way, if you do spare him and he spares you, nothing will change. You'll go on, kill Asgore and probably Flowey, and he get's to live in a world where everyones dead. But if he kills you, there's a chanse you'll reset. As he says after the "get dunked on!" "if we're really friends, you won't come back."

ok, if sans tries to fight/kill you earlier, as a counter to "a", not only is he putting himself in danger, but hes putting himself at a disadvantage. sans is only as powerful as he is at the final corridor bc frisk killed so many monsters. thats also why i think he doesnt kill you on an "only kill Papyrus run." and as of saving them, its impossible and, to him, pointless.

Good animation, but I think Sans is a bit out of character here, Sans is comepletly against murder and only uses it as an absoulute last resort, Mario, showing mercy Sans would probably be warey of him but still give him a chance. Even in the genocide run Sans is trying to steer you in the right direction, rather than just killing you immediatly, Asgore has TONS of child blood on his hands, yet he lets him go. Plus, you make him out to be quite the hypocrite since he's against Mario killing monsters even though their trying to kill him, yet when presented with the same moral decision he kills him anyway. Despite all that I still enjoyed this, you're a great animator, but your storytelling could use some work.

@@WrongJoke06 so mario should've been trapped in the underground forever instead of fighting sans to atleast TRY and escape? plus mario did try to reason with sans, but he could tell sans wasn't reasonable after he said that he kills goombas and koopas. sans' reasoning is bullshit, yes mario kills goombas and koopas, but if mario never killed bowser's minions they'd kill him anyway. plus mario does it for a good reason, he's trying to save the mushroom kingdom and save princess peach. so what sans is saying is: mario should rather die by letting bowser's minions kill him, thus letting bowser take over the mushroom kingdom and keeping peach as a hostage forever. instead of killing the goombas and koopas and thus saving the mushroom kingdom and peach, which saves way more many lives. sans accepts the koopas and goombas' reasoning literally being just for "money" whereas he doesn't accept mario's reasoning for killing? wtf? and mario wouldn't be pussy of sans fighting him. if this fight was actually using the real statistics and whatever mario would win easily, the only advantage the skeleton has over mario is speed. but mario on the other hand is far stronger, as they're seen to be able to lift and throw heavy castles. mario is far more durable, being able to survive the core of stars and the deaths of space and black holes. and they're far more experienced in fighting, papyrus has trouble getting into the royal gaurd and sans has only ever fought one small little child named frisk who only had a knife and still lost. but in the same sentence sans shouldn't have trouble dodging mario's attacks either right? well no he would lose, because the X factor in this fight is stamina. mario has proven his stamina time and time again, whereas sans gets tired after a few rounds with fighting a little 10 year old kid who only has a knife. and don't get me started with mario if he had power-ups.

@Vinitin - Brawl stars Let's start with karma. Karma is the nullification of invincibility frames, which also means nothing outside of UT. The best we can do is measure Sans' power and see how it stacks up to Mario's defence. Frisk's best durability feat is surviving an oven exploding, of which didn't even break the house it was in, but for the benefit of the doubt let's say it was small building level. All of Sans' attacks do 1 damage, meaning that at best he's a wall buster. Given that Mario has tanked multiversal hits, yeah Mario ain't dieing anytime soon. Also he's MFTL in reaction speed, so Sans would be lucky to land a hit.
