I think maybe Sonic is better because he has WAY more agility and speed than Mario, because seriously, Sonic can beat a fat plumber in milliseconds to spare comparing Mario's speed, I'm sorry to people who love Mario but, to prove the fact that Mario is mean to his brother, you should check out the cutscene when Mario and Luigi are competing in the Olympics, because when Luigi wins, Mario stomps on his brother's foot smiling and shaking Luigi's hand like nothing is happening, while poor Luigi who tries so hard to impress his brother gets THIS in the end, Mario is still stomping on his foot, while Luigi is utterly confused why HIS OWN brother is not even happy for after all he has done for him. You got to admit you can't protect him, Mario's cruelness to his brother is proven in the games.
