Quest 64: Battle Theme (Extended)

Quest 64 tried to fill the void on the N64's library of RPG's. It didn't do too hot and a sequel which was supposed to fix the problems of the first got canned but what it did leave out is this nice battle theme extended for 15 mins. Enjoy.

A good chunk of this game’s problems could be solved by just adding more party members (like Shannon for starters). Give each of them one of those Spirit points when you find one to level up their individual elements so you can focus each member to a different combination and see what each elements max potential is. Have higher level spells (both offensive and defensive) hit EVERYONE on each respective side, and make individual stats indicate which one element you should max out for each member (High attack = Fire, High defense = Earth, High speed = Wind, etc). You can even rework some spells to have different uses (Such as a Fire Revival spell named Rekindle, or a Wind Spell for fleeing combat and fast travel, for example). Effort, for sure, but one that would have shone Quest 64 in a better light back then.

pretty late reply, but in old gaming mags early previews claimed there was going to be party members who'd join your party, but the actual game didn't have any. I believe it too, as the battle system would make a LOT more sense with a party. I'm very confident that this game got rushed to high hell and lost a lot of its potential.

I made an Action Replay code for this game to make the distance you can walk in battle, bigger than the battle arena. Instantly flee any battle without fail. Made it so much more enjoyable on a second playthrough for me.
