This scene is EVERYTHING! A CLASSIC! People will remember this scene for years. Amanda Seyfried in that Dress and Hat combo, the acting, the lighting, the tree fuzz in the air, the singing frogs... This movie is the best piece of film made in the last few years.

I hope so. The film was considered boring by mainstream audiences and some critics/KZbin video essayists do not like the film for it's pandering of the debunked Pauline Kael theory that Herman J. Mankiewicz was the real writer behind Citizen Kane. The truth is that they both Herman and Orson Welles wrote the script separately with the final draft being the two mashed together. Also, the film is through Herman's eyes so the argument between him and Orson are organic. Everything about this film falls in the right direction as well. I think it would have a bad chance at the Oscars 2021 but I am still hopeful for an Amanda Seyfried win. This film could definitely have a cult following.

She really is! I was thinking this the other day. From Karen to Sophie to Linda to Marion to Elizabeth. She really is proving herself to be one of the greats of her generation.

Cute scene. What I do know is most of what's written/acted is like the telephone game. Same story always different ending.

You watch Citizen Kane and it’s really NOT her! She was way more interesting in reality.

I think that’s one of the points this movies makes

Amanda or Glenn Close should have won the Oscar last year not the korean actress.

Completely disagree, I loved Amanda's performance but when I saw Youn Yuh-jung in "Minari". She outshined her more. She is so powerful especially after the hardship that her character goes through. Amanda's character has limited screen time although she was great in every scene, the Oscar wasn't meant for her. I don't know about Glenn Close so hands up in the air.

I never thought I'd get sick of Gary Oldman but I'm sick of his American character he uses.
