Let's talk about Bridgerton costumes ! Are they historically accurate ? Not really, the series is filled with upholtery brocades, polyester and romance tropes (and that's not a bad thing in itself).
Int he midts of all the modern and narrative choices the costumes crew made, they also included a lot of historically accurate details that contribute to a coherent and believable universe. Costuming in television and cinema is about world-building, not just about being true to the period !
